By: Kelsey Crapo, Brian Michalec, Jonathan Morgan

Date: June 19, 2017

Tutoring Time: 1 hours

ELA Objectives (for St. Agnes student):

Following an activity involving the different punctuations and when to use each, Logan will have to complete
sentences with the correct missing punctuation with an accuracy of 80% using the proper punctuation.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) To refresh Logans memory on when to use proper punctuation, we will
use a YouTube video to engage him. He seems to really enjoy sing-
alongs and technology.

Pre-Test (5 min) For Logans pre-test, he will be asked to fill in punctuation at the end of
seven sentences written on the board by one of the group members. We
will have punctuation marks written on stickers, which Logan will place at
the end of each sentence to make it complete.

Review of Prior To review Logans prior knowledge, we will put five index cards flipped
Knowledge (3 min) over on a table with various punctuation marks on the other side of them.
Logan will randomly select each index card one by one. For each
punctuation mark he selects, Logan will have to write a sentence on the
board including the specified punctuation.

Primary skills and Logan will have one index card set of sentences with missing punctuation
support) (15 min) and another card set with punctuation marks. He will proceed to match
the given sentences with the proper punctuation.

Math Objectives (for St. Agnes student):

Following a video on regrouping, Logan will use cube manipulatives to perform regrouping with addition
problems with an accuracy of 80% correctly regrouping numbers in given addition equations.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) Logan will watch a short video that will discuss how to regroup with
addition using the ones and tens columns.

Pre-Test (5 min) Logan will complete a Kahoot which will have 4 easy mathematical
questions that he will find relatively easy. This will boost his confidence
and get his mind thinking mathematically. The last 4 questions will require
double digit regrouping with increasing difficulty.

Review of Prior To review prior knowledge, we will have Logan explain the place values
Knowledge (3 min) for the 10s and 1s columns.

Primary skills and We will have a set of index cards with single digit numbers on them. We

column and the other representing the ones column. We will mix and

Post-Test (5 min) Logan will take a quizlet assessment that will include 6 questions that
require regrouping and 4 that do not. We want to make the assessment
similar to the pre-test but with slightly added difficulty.

Wrap-Up Review & Take Logan will be given a worksheet including addition equations that will
