WANTED:

Parent and
Youth Opinions!
THE NEED:
To find out views of parents/guardians and youth about
participating in medical research. Participants must speak English
and have experienced being asked to consent to medical research.
Specifically, we want to learn about barriers, concerns and general
thoughts about patient involvement in biobanking (collecting and
storing information and biospecimens for future research).

WHAT WE ARE ASKING:

2.5 hours of your time on Thursday, August 17th from 5:00pm-
7:30pm at BCCH Research Institute.
Interest in taking part in a discussion with other parents, or youth
about research and biobanking. There will be 3 focus groups that
will have separate discussions:
1) Parents 2) Adolescents Age 15-18 3) Youth Age 11-14
Parking costs will be reimbursed, daycare for children age 5-11 will be
available and a $25 gift card will be given to thank you for your time!
