REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2006-123

AN ORDINANCE RENAMING THE JARO NATIONAL IDGH
SCHOOL - RG HECHANOVA EXTENSION TO RG
HECHANOVA MEMORIAL NATIONAL IDGH SCHOOL

And seconded by Councilor Ely A. Estante, Jr.

WHEREAS, under Article 184, Local School Board, Section b(4) of the Rules
and Regulations implementing the Local Government Code of 1991, it is within the
power of the Sangguniang Panlungsod to change the names of public schools within its
jurisdictions;

WHEREAS, the requisite that the same be recommended by the Iloilo City
School Board has been fulfilled through Resolution No. 28, Series of 2005, passed by the
Iloilo City School Board on July 11, 2005 which "favourably endorses to the
Sangguniang Panlungsod, Iloilo City, the renaming of Jaro National High School - RG
Hechanova Extension to RG Hechanova Memorial National High School;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City

of Iloilo that:

SECTION 1. The Jaro National High School - RG Hechanova Extension shall

henceforth be known as the RG Hechanova Memorial National High School, with all the
rights, privileges, and appurtenances owing thereto.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
