Class Activity

Topic: Cooperatives

Description: Students shall group into 5 (one group will be composed of 4

members) and each group shall research/gather data and report on any
cooperative registered with the Cooperative Development Authority.

The group shall assign a group representative who shall email to the teacher at
attyjoblancalabay@gmail.com the list of members and subject cooperative not
later than February 4, 2017.

Guidelines for Research/Data Gathering: Provisions of the Republic Act No.

9520, also known as the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008, particularly the
discussions on:

1. Definition of Cooperatives
2. Purpose
3. Goals and Objectives
4. Classification
5. Requirements and Process for Registration
6. Members
7. Benefits
8. Governance

The group shall interview members of their chosen subject cooperative. List of
registered cooperatives as well as their documentary filings are available in the
Cooperative Development Authority.

Reporting:

Each group shall present their findings before the class on February 25, 2017.
Each group has 20 minutes to report. The report shall be considered as one
recitation.

Written Output:

On the day of the report, each group shall also submit to the teacher a copy of the
subject cooperatives latest articles of cooperation and by-laws.
