Week 2
The Staff
The staff is made up of 5 lines and 4 spaces. Its lines and spaces are counted from the bottom to the
top. Each line and space represents a music pitch. Musical notes and musical symbols are written on a
staff.

3. And the GRAND (or GREAT) staff, which is a combination of the treble and bass staves.
Week 3
The Clef.
The clef is a sign placed at the beginning of a staff to show the pitch (notes) of that staff.
Week 4
SONG: FARM ANIMALS
Oh the farmer said, I've lost my cat,
She's small and black, goes meow meow meow,
It's a foggy day and I've lost my way,
I'll follow the sound of meow meow meow sh sh sh sh sh

WIND INSTRUMENTS.
A wind instrument produces sounds when air is blown into it. Wind instruments can be further
divided into 2 groups: brass and woodwind instruments.
Examples of wind instruments include:
A Recorder.
