Week 1
SONG: GOOD TO BE ME

Hi Diddle-ee-dee!
Im glad Im me!
Im not a house, Im not a tree
They cant run around like me
Hi Diddle-ee-dee!

Week 2
The Staff
The staff is made up of 5 lines and 4 spaces. Its lines and spaces are counted from the bottom to the
top. Each line and space represents a music pitch. Musical notes and musical symbols are written on a
staff.

There are 3 types of staves:


1. The TREBLE staff.

2. The BASS staff

3. And the GRAND (or GREAT) staff, which is a combination of the treble and bass staves.

Week 3
The Clef.
The clef is a sign placed at the beginning of a staff to show the pitch (notes) of that staff.

There are 2 types of clefs;


1. The treble clef; also called the G clef

2. The bass clef; also known as the F clef.

Week 4
SONG: FARM ANIMALS
Oh the farmer said, I've lost my cat,
She's small and black, goes meow meow meow,
It's a foggy day and I've lost my way,
I'll follow the sound of meow meow meow sh sh sh sh sh
So he listened and he heard meow meow meow,

He listened and he heard meow meow meow.
Then the farmer said, I've found my cat,
But now I've lost my dog!

Oh the farmer said, I've lost my dog,


He's got a long tail, goes woof woof woof,
It's a foggy day and I've lost my way,
I'll follow the sound of woof woof woof sh sh sh sh sh
So he listened and he heard woof woof woof,
He listened and he heard woof woof woof.
Then the farmer said, I've found my dog,
But now I've lost my cow!

Oh the farmer said, I've lost my cow,


She's big and brown, goes moo moo moo,
It's a foggy day and I've lost my way,
I'll follow the sound of moo moo moo sh sh sh sh sh
So he listened and he heard moo moo moo,
He listened and he heard moo moo moo.
Then the farmer said, I've found my cow,
But now I've lost my sheep!

Oh the farmer said, I've lost my sheep,


She's woolly and white, goes baa baa baa,
It's a foggy day and I've lost my way,
I'll follow the sound of baa baa baa sh sh sh sh sh
So he listened and he heard baa baa baa,
He listened and he heard baa baa baa.
Then the farmer said, I've found my sheep,
I've found my cow,
I've found my dog,
I've found my cat,
And the farmer said, that's that!

Week 5
WIND INSTRUMENTS.
A wind instrument produces sounds when air is blown into it. Wind instruments can be further
divided into 2 groups: brass and woodwind instruments.
Examples of wind instruments include:

A Recorder.

A Clarinet.
