Developing a creative media production project

Unit 8

Proposed project title Psyche

Section One: Rationale, objective, responsibilities, reasons for choosing this project

Rationale e.g. what is your project about and what media type will you be using: My project is about memories and the human
psyche. Im going to make this project about a man's life struggles and how hes hardship and pain are messing with his memories,
replacing them and or erasing. The types of media I am going to use are photography and photographic as well as film and motion
Picher. The title of my project is going to be psyche because it means the human soul, mind, or spirit. And I think that it reflects
and foreshadow my project. In this project, Im going to explore two worlds one of them being the actor's mind. Its about his
memory not being safe from the dark in his psyche and his mind fighting back.

Reasons for choosing the project (eg, links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest, future plans, knowledge/skills you
want to improve, why the topic is important): I picked memory because its a key part of life. I think memory can be changed or
replaced by bad ones. Not having memorys or them bing changed will start to eat away at you if you can get them back. I think it
links to pain and love two thing that help you grow and are important to life. I think it links to one of my interests rap. Some
rappers use their memorys to get inspiration .so I think that I might use rap in my project.

Project objectives (eg, what is the question you want to answer? What do you want to learn how to do? What do you want to find
out?): the question I want answered is can memorys be change depending on different feeling, relationships and choses we
make. The thing I would like to learn in this project is how to run a film crow and directing skills. The biggest thing I want to find
out is if memorys can be changed and forgotten and if so can you get them back

If it is a group project, what will your responsibilities be? Or if you are working independently what support you may need from
others? I think my project is going to be a independent one with some support from friends. my responsibility will be to film, edit
and directing. The support Im going to need will be for acting and crew. I might be acting in my project .
Section Two: Target audience

Who is your target audience?

My target audience is C1 lower middle class teens aged (15-21) and both gender. I'm hoping to appeal to people that like E4 and

shows like misfits and skins. I hope that the audience will have a connection with the characters and their life styles

Why would your program capture their attention? i think my program will capture their attention in a less conventional way. I

think my program will capture their imagination and their emotions as they question the characters morals and behaviours. I

found music and editing style I think will appeal to younger teenage audience I think the audiences attention will not just be on

the individual characters I think you also be on the characters relationships and the way they communicate with each other

Section Three: Activities and timescales

Activities to be carried out during the project (eg, research, development and analysis of ideas, How long this will take:
writing, data collection, numerical analysis, rehearsal techniques, production meetings, production
of final outcome, administration, evaluation, preparing for the presentation, etc):
10 weeks
first thing I'm going to need to do his research the word memory. once I've done that
I'm gonna stop and a list of words that are associated with memory builder an idea or
concept around that. from there I'm going to come up with some sort of basic idea of
what I want my film to be about.
the second thing I'm going to do is go on YouTube and research different effects I'm
thinking about using for my film. I am also going to look at different movies TV
programs and music videos this will help me shape my idea around things that already
exist that that my target audience might like. this will help me build a familiar platform
that wasn't me progressive my ideas.

development I will have to create a script and a pitch that will slowly help my world
come to life. These things will help me to plan my idea and also prepare me for
recording. I will know what to do when the script and the pitch is ready.

For data collection I will make a survey and hand them out to my classroom to collect
some data.

the rehearsal techniques I will try to learn how to edit the way YouTube videos will teach
me as well as playing around with what Premiere Pro has to offer. I'll try to have at least
two houses before I start the actual filming.

Section Four: Resources

Analyse the type of equipment, locations and personnel required for your production?
The equipment that I will need to make my TV drama is a DSLR, Tripod, Microphone and a computer with editing
software. I will use the DSLR to get some smooth HD shots. I will use the Tripod to get some stable shots to make it
look a lot more professional. and I'll pick quiet location so I can get the best quality audio i can on the microphone.
 I use the computer Premiere Pro and Aladdin my video
effects. one location I was looking to use with Abney cemetery and the reason why I thought this would be a good
location it's because it's quite quiet it's local and I think it fits quite well with the theme of dying memories and the
death of a close friend.

What resources will you need for your research, write up and presentation (eg, libraries, books, journals, equipment, rehearsal
space, technology and equipment, venue, physical resources, finance):
The resources that I will need for my research is a TV or a laptop to watch some TV shows or movies which will help me explore
more themes and ideas editing techniques placement of camera different camera angles and shots. I will need a DSLR to record
the footage in 1080p HD. I will do my sound recorder with an external microphone to record the sound of the actors talking. Im
going to use a computer with a software called Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the footage

What your areas of research will cover?

The research will help me to make a better TV drama. I will get some inspirational content, which I will
then consider to put in my TV drama. I will pick books and watch TV shows and movies that have the
concept of memory and psyche and get some inspirational things and put them in my TV drama.
