PROPOSED LARRYS CURTAIN

ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS

SECTION A: FIBER CEMENT & PANELS

A. This Section includes the following types of fiber cement panels.


1.Fiber Cement Panel screw- attached to steel framing and furring members, for wall (interior) applications.
2. Steel Framing and furring members to receive fiber cement panel.

B. Available Manufacturer: Lexus Industrial and a like.

C. Steel Framing:
1. Steel Studs and Runners: 0.0329 inch minimum thickness of uncoated metal,
Galvanized. Hat shaped or as otherwise recommended by the manufacturer of
Fiber cements panels.
1. Steel Furring Channels: 0.0329 inch minimum thickness of uncoated metal,
Galvanized hat-shaped or as otherwise indicated.Minimum 7/8deep.
2. Steel Carrying Channels: Cold rolled steel, 0.0598 inch minimum Thickness of
Uncoated metal, minimum of 1 deep, galvanized.
3. Provide additional soffit framing and bracing for exterior locations, to resist wind
Load of 2.50k Pa for applications at ground level.for other levels,refer to Architect
For instruction.

D. Fiber Cement Panels Fiber cement panels shall be asbestos-free, fiber Reinforced cement sheets.
1. Density: Minimum 1380 kg/cum.
2. Product used as basis for selection: Hardiflex Pro,6mm thick,recessed edge for flush jointing. For joints with expansion gaps,
use square-edge Hardiflex 6mm thk.

SECTION B: INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL WOODWORK

A. This Section includes the following woodwork:


1. Standing and running trim and rails (cornice and baseboards where indicated).
2. Built-in wood cabinet/closets.
3. Interior miscellaneous ornamental items (where indicated)
B. Running Trims and Rails
1. Baseboard,cornice,shall be from solid Tanguile wood profile and size as shown on
Drawings.
2. Finish for all the above items shall be lacquer enamel (duco), semi-gloss.
C. Built-in Cabinet works

CABINETS & DRAWERS and TABLES and ACCENT WALL where required.

1. Use MDF panels, 19.05mm (3/4) thk.


2. Finish shall be laminate for ext. panels of cabinets and plastic edging finish.
3. Finish shall be fabric for faade aesthetic of executive and reception tables.
4. Construction style: as indicated on the drawings.
5. Hardwares:
a. Hinges: Self closing concealed hinges.
b. Cabinet and Drawer Pulls: Design as selected by the Architect, Hafele or
approved equivalent. Finish shall be satin stainless steel.
c. Locks: Yale cabinet locks or approved equivalent.
d. Metal Drawer Slides: Hettich with self closing feature, or equivalent.

D. Curtain Pelmet: thk Gypsum board painted white Finish Sizes and profiles shall be as indicated on the drawings.

SECTION C: PLYWOOD PANTRY COUNTER UNDERSHEETING

A. Types of panel required include the following:


1. 12mm thk.Marine Plywood undersheeting.
2. Uniworld Brand
3. Other approved equivalent by the Architect.
B. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements,Manufacturers
Offering preformed roofing and siding product which may be incorporated in the
Work include, but are not limited, to the following:
1. Jacinto.
2. Lexus Industrial.
3. Philmetal
4. Other approved equal by the Architect.

SECTION D: FLUSH WOOD DOORS

A. Hollow Core Flush Wood Doors:


1. Thickness: 44mm (1.75)
2. Construction:Solid Tanguile Kiln dried stiles,rails, and blockings.
3. Core: Paper Honeycomb
4. Crossbanding both faces: 3mm thick plywood. Core.
5. Finish: clear matte lacquer.
B. Wood Door Jambs & Heads:

1. Provide Factory fabricated wood door jambs and heads. Provide Profiles as shown
On door schedules.
a. Wood Species:
1) door Jambs & Heads in dry location:Tanguile Kiln Dried to 12%
Moisture content maximum.
2) Door Jammbs & Heads for Wet Locations: Yakal or Guijo, kiln dried to
12% moisture content maximum.
b.Finish.
1) Stain and lacquer finish to match wood veneer faces of doors.

SECTION E: FINISH HARDWARE

A. Hinges: ANSI A 156.1.


B. Locks and Latches:
1. Bored Cylindrical locksets for back-of-the-house,not exposed to public view.
a.ANSI A 156.2: series 4000.Grade 1.Lock cylinder shall have not less than 6 pins.
2. Mortise locksets for all front-of the-building.
a.Shall comply with DIN 18251 Class 3.
3. Small Case Mortise Deadlocks:ANSI A 156.5,Grade 1.
C. Deadbolts:ANSI A 156.5 Grade 1 as indicated in the hardware schedule.
D. Door closing Devices,Floor Closers, and Pivots;
1. Acceptable Standards:
a. American :ANSI A 156.4;Grades 1&2;UL/NFPA.
b. German :DIN EN 1154 Size 2-4(acceptable equivalent for ANSI Grade 2),Size 3-6
(acceptable equivalent for ANSI Grade 1)DIN 18263.
c. British:BS EN1154 Size 3-6 (acceptable equivalent for ANSI Grade1);BS 476
E. Hinges: Satin Stainless Steel (US32D).
F. Locksets: Satin Stainless steel (US32D).
G. Other finish hardware to be similar to finish of lockset, unless otherwise indicated.
H. Full Mortise Hinges:
1. Number of hinges and sizes shall be indicated in the hardware Schedule.
Provide in US32D Finish.
2. Acceptable products: Hager, Stanley,McKinney,PBB and other approved
Equivalent.
3. Hinge Base Metal Gauge Requirement (+or-0.005inch or 0.127mm):
a.Standard weight full mortise:0.134inch(3.40mm).
b.Heavy weight full mortise:0.180inc(4.57mm).
4. Product used as basis for selection:
Interior Application
a.Standard weight:Hager BB1191 or equal.
b.Heavy weight:Hager BB 1199 or equal.
K. Cylindrical Locksets:
1. Lockset function shall be as indicated in the hardware Schedule.
2. Product used as Basis.
a.Yale 5400 Series,Carolina Knob,US32D finish or equal.

3. Acceptable Manufacturers:Schalage,Corbin Russwin, Yale, Sargent and other
Approved equivalent by the Architect.
L. Mortise Deadbolt & Locksets: DIN 18251 Class 3.
1. Product used as basis :DORMA Project Mortise Locks with Euro Profile
Cylinders and DORMO OGRO Lever Handles FO8906 Satin Stainless steel,Type
316 Stainless Steel.
2. Acceptable manufacturers:Dorma, d Line, Abloy, other approved Equivalent by
The Architect.
M. Bored Deadbolts:
1. Produst used as basis:
a.Bored cylinder deadbolt,SCLAGE B660P,US26D or equal.
Provide wher required in Finish Hardware Schedule.

2. Acceptable Manufacturers: Schlage , Corbin Russwin,Yale, and Other approved


Equal by the Architect.
N. Door Closers
1. Where parallel arms are indicated for closers, provide one size larger than
Recommend for use with standard arms.
2. Provide closers with adjustable closing force, with integral square Housing,
Painted silver finish:

Other approved equivalent.

SECTION F: GYPSUM DRY WALL/CEILING

A. This Section includes the following types of Gypsum Board construction:


1.Gypsum board screw-attached to steel framing and furring members,where indicated.
2.Steel framing and furring members to receive gypsum board.

B. Available Manufacturers:Gold Bond,United States Gypsum Co., Domtar,Hardies,


Lexus Industrial, Boaral, or other approved by the Architect.

Steel Framing Components for Suspended and Furred Ceilings:

A. General: Comply with ASTM C754.


B. Drilled-in Expansion Anchors:Expasion anchors complying with FS-S 325, stud NCHOR TYPE ,dyna Bolt or equal, stainless steel
or other non-corrosive material.with the capability to sustain,without failure, a load equal to 3 times that imposed by the ceiling
construction, as determined from testing as per ASTM E 488.
C. Hanger Rods: Mild Steel, galvanized finish, of size as recommended by The manufacturer.
D. Angle-Type Hangers:Angles with legs not less than 7/8 inch wide,formed from 0.0635 inch thick galvanized steel sheet.
E. Channels:Cold-rolled steel,0.0598 inch minimum thickness of base(uncoated) metal.
Carrying Channels:1-1/2 inch deep,475 lbs.per 1000ft., unless otherwise indicated.
F. STEEL Rigid Furring Channel:ASTM C 645, hat shaped, depth 7/8 inch or as otherwise
Indicated, 0.0329 inch thick minimum.

SECTION G: ALUMINUM WINDOWS

A. Types of aluminum window units required include the following.


1. Fixed windows.
2. Sliding windows.
3. Awning windows.
B. Structural_test_pressure, windload test,is equivalent to 150% of the design pressure
C Water_leakage_resistance_& Air infiltration test_pressure is equivalent to 100
Percent of the design pressure.
D. Aluminum Finish: Provide Powdered Coated,or approved equal by the Architect.
F. Window Hardware: Non-corrosive type, as selected by the Architect.
1.Provide the following equipment and operating hardware for Sliding Windows.
a.Sash Rollers:Adjustable nylon Rollers.
b.Sash Lock: Cam action seep sash lock and keeper at meeting rails,
Standard finish.

SECTION H: GLASS AND GLAZING

A. Types of work in this Section glazing for:


1. Windows.
2. Doors

SECTION I: MIRROR GLASS

A. This section includes float glass mirrors.


B. Float Glass Mirror by Asahi Glass Corp. or approved equivalent by the Architect, 6mm thick, with 6mm thick marine plywood
backing:
C. Primary Glass: Float glass complying with ASTM C 1036 requirements for Type 1 (Transparent,flat) and for class and quality
indicated below.
1. Clear Float Glass: Quality q2(Mirror),Class 1(clear).

D. Glass Coating: Coat second surface of glass with successive layers of Chemically
Deposited silver, and manufacturers standard protective Organic coating to produce
Coating system that complies with FS DD-M-0041, except with salt spray test
Period extended to 300hrs. and Undercutting,discolorations,blackenin,and silver
Impairment at mirror edges not greater than 3.175mm(1/8inch).
D. Mirror edge shall be sealed after treatment to prevent chemical or Atmospheric
Penetration of glass coating.
1. Perform edge treatment and sealing in factory immediately after cutting to final sizes.

SECTION J: TILE

A. This section includes the following:


1.Ceramic tiles for floor and wall installations, as indicated in the schedules.
B. Acceptable Manufacturers:Mariwasa, or other approved equal by the Architect.
C. Floor Tiles:
1.Vitrified.
2.Non-Skid
3.Eased edge
4.Medium Traffic
5.Design & color as selected by the Architect.
D. Wall Tile:
1.Glazed.
2.Eased edge
3.Design & color as selected by the Architect.
E. Mortars & Grouts:
1.Dry set adhesives
F. Installation:
1.Floor Tiling Installation(ANSI and TCA F111-99)
2.Wall Tiling Installation: TCA W202-99.

SECTION K: WATERPROOFING STRIPS

A. Provide bentonite waterproof strips as waterstops at structural elements, and where indicated in the drawing.
1. Between structural slabs and toilet flooring.

B. Acceptable Manufacturers:
1. American Colloid co.
2. System 7Corp.
3. Kunimine Industries.
4. Other approved equivalent by the Architect.

SECTION L: PAINTING

A. Acceptable Manufacturers:Davies,Pacific Paints(Boysen), Sinclair,Dutch Boy by UGL> or approved equal.


B. Product used as basis:
1. Acrylic latex paints:Permacoat,Boysen or equivalent.
2. Acrylic solvent paint.crytex,Boysen or equivalent.
3. Other paint products by Boysen or equivalent.

C. Interior Paint Schedule:

1. Gypsum and fiber cement ceiling:Three (3) finish coats of semi-gloss 100%
Acrylic latex paint over primer:

a. Primer: Latex-based interior white primer(FS TT-P-650).

2. Rubbed Concrete and Plastered CHB Walls:Three(3) finish coats of semi-gloss

100% acrylic latex based paint over sealer:
a. Sealer: As per manufacturers recommendation.
b. 1st,2nd & 3rd Coats:semi-gloss 100% acrylic latex based.

3. Ferrous_Metal:Full_Gloss_Enamel_Finish: 2 Coats gloss enamel finish over epoxy primer.


a. 1st and 2nd coats:Gloss Enamel paint.
b. Finish coat:Exterior Alkyd Gloss Enamel (FX TT-E -506).
4. Zinc Coated Metal: Full Gloss Enamel Finish: 2 coats gloss enamel finish over
Galvanized metal primer.

a. Primer galvanized Metal Primer (FS TT-P-641).


b. 1st and 2nd Coats:Gloss Enamel Paint.

5. Natural Finish Work:


a.Stained Varnished Finish: 3 Finish coats over stain plus filler on open grain
wood.Wipe filler before applying first varnish coat.

a.1 Stain Coat:oil type interior wood satin.


a.2 First Coat: Cut Shellac (FS TT-S300).
a.3 Filler Coat:Paste Wood Filler (FS TT-F-336).
a.4 Second Coat: Oil Rubbing Varnish(FS TT-V-86)
a.5 Third Coat:Oil rubbing Varnish (FS TT-V-86)

6. Clear Lacquer Finish: Paint System by ZAR by UGL or equivalent.

SECTION M: TOILET ACCESSORIES

SECTION O: LIGHTING FIXTURES

A. All items as selected by both the Architect and the Owner.

1. Downlights with compact fluorescent lighting fixture, warm white,rim in matte silver finish.
2. Decorative ceiling mounted, wall mounted, and drop lighting fixtures.
3. Other lighting fixture type as required by the Architect.

B. Lighting Fixtures:
