Coin Vend Interface
The MX-M850-1100 series machines have a coin vend interface located on the PCU Main PWB
[CN-10]. The vending device activates various signals to indicate paper sizes and operation.
Because of additional functionality, the interface connector is 16 pins (same specification as the
MX2300-700N series).

Before connecting a third party auditor, the device should confirm to the following:-
1. The auditor interface should be optically isolated from the copier.
2. The device should be Power Supply Unit independent.
3. The device power supply unit should be a plug top adapter, not internal.
4. The plug top adapter should have a reinforced insulation barrier.
5. The audit device MUST comply and display the relevant safety approval mark (C-Tick,
CE equivalent).

1. Insert the USB memory device containing the firmware file into the main USB Port
2. Enter Simulation 49-01

Note: If no USB device is detected, an error message will be displayed.
3. Using the LCD screen, browse and select the correct firmware file
4. The current and the new firmware versions to be updated will be shown within
the display:-
5. Select the required firmware that requires updating (example shown ICU Main &
Language).
Press Execute & Yes to commence the update.

6. During the firmware update, a progress gauge will be displayed.
7. Once the firmware update has completed successfully, press OK to reboot the device.

The MX-LCX3N can be connected to either
MX5500-7001N series or MXM850 however, as
default, the firmware supporting MX5500-7001N is
installed as standard.
To correct U6-51 trouble, follow the corrective
MX-M850 U6-51 trouble after installing procedure below:-
MX-LCX3N the MXLCX3N (A3) LCC. 1. Install the MXLCX3N onto the MXM850.
2. Power on the MXM850 (U6-51 trouble will be
displayed).
3. Upgrade the MFP firmware with the latest
version (available on the support website) using
Sim 49-01, select "All".
Cut the purple lead cable with a five-pin connector
MX-LCX4
U6-20 (CN112) which is connected to the LCT PWB, so
MX-LCX5
the signal lines are not affected by noise.

EFI FIERY CONTROLLER

To support MXPEX3 EFI Controller, the MFP
firmware must be upgraded to
MXPEX3 After installation, the MXPEX3 v02.01.H0 (or higher)
MXPXX3 is not recognised by the MFP.

activated via the Product Key activation system
