The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), a regional
accrediting commission, is a voluntary association of degree-granting institutions located in the
southeastern region of the United States that elect to engage in a self-regulatory process of quality
assurance. That process expects accredited members to comply with standards in the areas of mission,
institutional effectiveness and student learning, governance, curriculum and educational programs,
faculty, academic and student support, and financial and physical resources, and to comply with the
policies of SACS Commission on Colleges. The Principles of Accreditation, SACSCOC standards for
accreditation, focuses on student learning and the institutions capacity and resources to fulfill its mission.

The following publicly available information is provided by SACSCOC concerning the most recent action
taken by the SACSCOC Board of Trustees on the accreditation of the institution listed above. Information
presented below is in accord with the Commissions disclosure policy.

The Committee on Fifth-Year Interim Reports reviewed the institutions compliance with the 17
select standards of the Principles of Accreditation* outlined in the Commissions Fifth-Year
Interim Report. Based only on those reviewed standards, the institution is requested to submit a
Referral Report addressing the following referenced standards of the Principles: Core
Requirement 2.8 (Full-time faculty) and Federal Requirements 4.4 (Program length), 4.5 (Student
complaints), and 4.6 (Recruitment materials).

What is a Referral Report?


A Referral Report is an institutional report that provides additional documentation of compliance for
those standards and requirements identified by the Committee on Fifth-Year Interim Reports,
following review of the committees findings on issues for which full compliance has not yet been
documented. The Referral Report is forwarded to the Committees on Compliance and Reports
standing committees of the SACSCOC Board of Trusteesfor action.
