Dawn Blade
Weapon (Longsword), Artefact (Requires Attunement by a
non-evil Alignment)
Originally wielded by the hand of the Morning lord himself it
has been passed from holy warrior to holy warrior. Forged in
the furnace at the heart of the positive energy plane, this
weapon is not just sunlight. Its light burns with the creation
of all things.
You Gain a +3 Bonus to attack and damage rolls made with
this magic weapon. While attuned it may also be used as a
casting focus which applies this +3 to spell attacks and
damage. It has the following additional properties.
Random Properties. The Sword have the following
randomly determined properties;
2 Minor Beneficial properties
2 Major Beneficial properties
Sword Of Sunlight. The Dawn Blade is a Finesse
Longsword that deals 1D10 Damage. Its damage type is
Radiant. It also has the following rule, on a Critical hit on any
attack using this sword roll an additional set of Damage Dice
and add that to the damage total.
Blade of Honour. The Dawn Blade may modify its attacks
via Charisma. Rather than strength or dexterity.
Dawn Light. The Dawn Blade has 4 charges, 1D4 of these
charges are replenished every day at dawn, or 2 upon slaying
a CR5 or higher unliving creature.
Each of these Charges may be used to cast one of the
following spells.
1 Charge, Daylight. 2 Charges, Flame Strike. 3 Charges,
Heal.
By expending all 4 charges at the same time, the sword
summons a Solar under the command of the Wielder. But the
sword then loses this ability.
Sentience. The Dawn blade is a sentient lawful good
weapon with an Intelligence of 11, a Wisdom of 12 and a
Charisma of 16. It has hearing and dark vision out to a range
of 120 feet.
The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder
or out loud and can speak, read, and understand Common.
Elven, and Celestial. It also understands and may speak any
language its wielder does.
Personality. The Dawn Blade has the sole function of
serving its chosen wielder. It in turn has the personality of
that of a caring and humble attendant. Its speaks in a low but
powerful voice which commands respect, but doesnt demand
obedience. The Blades only hate is that for the unliving, the
blade being expressly made to destroy their kind. As such the
blade will react to their presence with incoherent shouts of
celestial, a battle cry in the language of the lords tongue.
