1. Plan for 3 days and 2 nights only for Munnar. I'll recommend Hotel "Gruenberg Tea
Plantation Haus" (Book it via booking com). I personally had a very good experience there. It is
surrounded by tea garden and it is a quite place. It is 7-8 KM ahead of main Munnar city (South
Chitirapuram bus stop).
2. My suggestion is, for sight seeing always try to avail DTPC options. Their office is at the
entrance of Munnar town.(dtpcidukki)
Day1 : you can go for - Mattiputty dam (boating available), Spice Garden(you can buy
some good spices there), View Point, Elephant park (Elephant ride available), Top station(nice
panoramic view), Eco point
After completing these on that same evening you can go for kathakali and martial art show.
Day2 : You can go for Eravikulam National Park, Nyayamakad water fall.
Day3 : Enjoy your stay at hotel. Do not leave your camera behind or you can miss some
beautiful birds and deers.

Have a day tour towards mattupatty direction where you can cover most of sight seeing and
spend a night in homestays/hotels between the tea estates. Don't take hotels in Munnar town as
there is nothing to enjoy.
Then go directly to alleppey and rent a houseboat for 1 day, they charge houseboats according to
the room taken minimum would be 7k I guess. And next day take a day out in the city. There are
lots of famous temples and churches.
From there come back to kochi and spend the rest of days in kochi, you can go to marine drive,
very old churches and nearby lulu mall.

Drove till Club Mahindra Chinnakanal, by car and hired a jeep for Kolukkumalai. The drive on
Gap road was amazing and total fun.
The Kolukkumalai safari was good and the misty climate was very good. Though we missed the
view point at top but the fog and misty climate made up for everything. It deserves the top spot
in things to do in Munnar. Visited Lock heart gap and rock cave. Evening visited punarjani for
martial arts and kalari. It was a good show.

Munnar is also famous for Home made Chocolates. The cost range from Rs 300 Kg to Rs 1500
Kg. we find one shop which was underground and is titled as Chocolate Factory as best in Town.
Overall we feel that General Quality of chocolates is average.
