TO PREVENT INJURY & VEHICLE

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Procedure Hand-Out.

Engine Oil.

Inspect for any Damage.
Report any Vehicle Damage or Defect Immediately.

CHECKLIST
This check sheet is intended to familiarize
the driver with the vehicle and must be
completed per the direction of the project.

BEFORE YOU DRIVE OFF
Adjust your seat to your requirement.
Put your seat belt on.
Adjust your rear view mirrors to your comfort.
Check the fuel level, refill if under 50%.
Plan the route, do not forget about the rush hours
and busy roads. Select less busy and safest route to
your destination.
Allow a little bit extra time for the journey.
Tell your supervisor where are you going.
MAKE SURE:
You are familiar with the Saudi Arabia traffic rules
and regulations .
Your car has valid registration and insurance policy.
(Copies kept in the vehicle)
Your car is in good mechanical condition
Your safety equipment is in good condition, such as:
seat belts, fire extinguisher etc.
There is no lose material / equipment in your car.
That you carry your drivers license with you when
driving.
TRAFFIC RULES
Obey all the traffic rules.
Observe speed limit.
Obey traffic signs and signals.
Only licensed driver to operate NCC vehicle.
While on the road, concentrate on driving.
Do not use mobile phone while driving.
Do not overtake on the incorrect side.
Retain a safe distance from the front vehicle.
When reversing, ensure your way is clear.
FOG ON THE HIGHWAY
Follow the SEC/NCC procedures and do not drive
in the fog, if you encounter fog on your journey
between Al- Riyadh and Site, slow down, pull well off
the road at the most convenient place to do so,
making sure you are in the safest place possible to
not be involved in an incident, do not walk towards
the road and preferably walk away from off side of
the vehicle, phone your destination contact and
departing point contact to let them know where
you are.

good road / vision conditions.


Allow 4 6 seconds in poor conditions.

Avoid driving in heavy fog.

If you eat and drink when driving, you do

Proper journey planning includes allowing time for
rest breaks and will mean that you will not have
to eat and drink whilst on the move.

Fatigue

Most drivers know when they are sleepy.


Opening windows, turning up the radio etc. are ineffective.
Stop and take a rest and take some food and a drink.
Plan your journeys with allowances for rest stops
especially long journeys.

Driving aggressively is simply a demonstration of
physiological immaturity.
