BEACH TRIP:

1. Beach Trip (PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE, FB, TWITTER,

INSTAGRAM, TUMBLER, FLICKER) JULY AND/OR AUGUST BEFORE
KIDS HEAD BACK TO SCHOOL. AGES 13- ABOVE, UNDER 18 NEED
PERMISSION SLIPS SIGN BY PARENTS!!) STRICTLY FOR YOUTH NO
PARENTS!!!
a. Fun day filled with activities
i. Youth will be split into groups and each group will be color coded
ii. Each group will come up with a name
iii. Activities will include:
1. Relays- includes potato sack, piggy back rides, hula hoops..
ect- 1hr
2. Water time =)- 1hr
3. Lunch- 1 hr
4. More activities
a. Sand castle contest
i. Only tools are a bucket, shovel and a rake
1. Main idea CREATIVITY- 30MINS
5. Bon Fire
a. Sit around the pit and have a fellowship moment
b. Smores
c. Praise and Worship moment
d. Devotional- either by Co pastor, Renato, Ruth or
Myself
e. Clean up!! And award the team with the most wins

Kids Ministry:
1. Ages : ??
a. Activities:
i. One day at the LA Zoo and lunch would be provided by us (a day
before buy all ingredients to make sandwiches, Capri suns and a
snack in a brown bag)
1. Each counselor depending on the amount of kids, each
would be in charge of their group
2. We need to find out the group rates tickets
3. Make a permission slip with all the information regarding
their children and any special medical needs that need to be
attended.
4. Encourage PARENTS to chaperone, which would be
wonderful!!
 2. Theater:
a. Prepare a mini skit for kids for Thanksgiving, Christmas
i. Prepare a choir
ii. Musical perhaps be in the idea
iii. Monthly rehearsals and began thinking for costume ideas
3. Movie Night:
a. Once a month have the kids come to church and watch a movie
i. Snacks would be popcorn and bottle juices (Capri suns, ect..)
1. Movies like: Monsters Inc., Nemo, Despicable Me,
Avengers, Beauty and the Beast..Ect)
b. Movie night for older youth (MONTHLY)
i. THIS IS A FELLOWSHIP TIME IN WHICH EACH LEADER IS
ENCOURAGE TO SOCIALIZE WITH YOUTH WHO REALLY
DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM. AS LEADERS, WE
ARE TO STRIVING TO MEET OUR YOUTH AND KNOW
THEM BEYOND THE HELLO OR GOD BLESS YOU
LANGUAGE.

Bible Study(MONTHLY):

i. Once a month have bible study with each age group having their own time
a. Youth group ages 13-18
i. Topics will include; your relationship with Christ, SEX,
DEPRESSION, IDENTITY, SOCIAL PRESSURE, financial
struggles in the home(image, identity), personal struggles, ect..
b. Youth group ages 18-25
1. Topics will include: college and career, finding your place in
this world through Christ, depression, identity, spiritual
strengthening, financial struggle (how it affects your self-
esteem) ect.
c. Youth group ages 26-30
1. Topics will include: finding your spiritual gifts and how they
can help in the church and youth group, becoming the man or
woman of God in your life, how to battle daily struggles and
sins, ect

Thanksgiving:

i. Have a thanksgiving dinner with all the youth before our actual Thanksgiving Dinner
ii. Make flyers to invite our community youth to fellowship on this dayUSE SOCIAL
NETWORK AS WELL!!!
 iii. Serving our community by having our youth serve food through our local banks like
LA Mission, and have them experience the true meaning of humility and
thanksgiving
a. Make it a pot luck styles
b. Decorate tables with orange, yellow , red covers
c. Have stacks of paper and pens and have them write what They are grateful
for
d. Games:
i. Whip/bubble gum eating contest
1. Each contestant will have to find the bubble gum and try to
blow it up, first to blow the bubble gum wins a prize (gifts are
the best)
2. Chubby Bunny marshmallow
a. Each contestant will have to place one marshmallow in
his/her mouth and say Chubby Bunny until they have
reached they maximum limit
3. Time of reflection and devotional

Christmas Party:

1. Christmas Party with the theme: He is the reason for our Season
2. Their entrance for the party is a toy prices $5-10 dollars, these toys will be given out to
our in need children in our community / missionary churches, we as leaders need to pick
a day to invite our community.
3. We also want to involve the church in this activity and it would be a perfect time to share
the gift of Christ to others.
4. Shoe Box??
a. Collect items that can be toothpaste, toothbrush, toys pencils, erasers..ect

Christmas Play:

b. The story of Christmas from a Narrators point of view

i. Collect Christmas songs that relate to the play
1. When Mary cradles Jesus (Mary song)
2. The three magis (oh holy night)
c. REHEARSALS NEED TO START NOW IF WE WANT TO REALLY
DELIVER THE CHRISTMAS MESSAGE AND MAKE IT VERY
SUCCESSFUL!!!!
d. Rehearsals will be split by sections and months
e. Each member participating in the play will have a calendar of days they will need
to show up for rehearsals. Close to the end, at least a month or so have a full
rehearsal.
Masquerade Ball:

1. Search for hotels prices for room rentals and evaluate the prices
2. Invite special band to come and play for 30mins or so
3. Fashion Show- CATWALK!!!
4. Award Ceremony- go back through the year and see what youth fits into categories in
which the leaders will choose.
a. Example: Most likely to be in the Cover of Vogue Weirdest Talent Male
Athletic of the Year

Youth Facebook:

1. Build a youth social media page such as Facebook, You tube channel. where our events
can be constantly posted, and remind our youth about it.
2. Songs can be download for Christmas play
3. Promote our site to other churches and invite them to fellowship with us
