I. TITLE: DEPRESSION (F.32.1)

II. DEFINITION:

From the cognitive perspective (Aaron Beck, 1967). The patient with depression
presents a scheme that involves a negative vision of himself, of the environment
and of the future. This scheme is known as the cognitive triad. The patient sees
same as unfinished and unusual, maybe unpreciable or defective. In relation to
its environment, interinterpreted in terms of damages and losses the most part
of its vital experiences at the time that I believe that the future will come
accompanied of failures and frustrations since the person with depression feels
despaired, he believes that the coming situations will be unforgettable, then
respond with passivity resigned not to modify them.

III. OBJECTIVES:

4. Provide a rational explanation for the patient's symptoms.
