TSR Riders & In Hand Championships - This show is a qualifier for the 2017 TSR/Riders/In Hand Regional
Championships. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional finals, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East,
Wales & South West or
Scottish. You do not have to be a TSR member to qualify and enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can
enter any horse/pony in any number of finals!
TSR Riders Champs : 1st & 2nd riders to qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring.
TSR In Hand Champs: The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand Class.
Handlers must have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward. Cards are available FREE from TSR website.

National Pony Society Qualifiers 2017
All NPS Competitions will be run under the NPS Rules as defined in their rulebook
The NPS/Peasdown & Jess Talkbot M&M Intermediate Ridden
The NPS Ringside Stud M & M Open Ridden National Championship
The NPS/Picton M & M Novice Ridden National Championship
The NPS/Ryehouse Native Show Team M&M Junior Ridden National Championship
The NPS/ TopSpec W.H.P. National Championship
The NPS Scaracen Horse Feeds M&M Home Produced In Hand National Championship
Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members and at
Breed Shows ponies can qualify for the final even if their owners are not NPS members.
The owner of a pony qualifying at a Breed Show must become an NPS Qualifying member for the pony to enter the
final at the NPS Summer Championship Show.
At Breed Shows ponies can win Silver Medal Rosettes even if their owners are not members of the NPS but they
must become NPS Qualifying members to enter the final. The highest placed pony in each class qualifies for the
final, qualification may pass down to third place.
NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championship Rules
These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. At Breed Shows ponies can win Silver Medal Rosettes even if
their owners are not members of the NPS but they must become NPS Qualifying members to enter the final.
If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification
card goes to the Reserve Champion pony. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no
lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships
Champion W.H.P Overall Ridden Champion, Overall In-Hand Champion Bronze Medal
The medal is presented to the exhibitor of the winning pony providing they are a Society member and the
registered keeper (owner/HPS official loanee) of the pony. The award is not taken down the line if the
winner is not a member.
PRIZE MONEY : Please note all prize money awarded will be posted to winners after the show, it will no longer
be available in the Secretary Office on day of event.
CUPS & TROPHIES : All winners must collect after 12noon from the secretary tent. A deposit of 25 will be
required The deposits will be refunded in 2018 ONLY if the said cup/trophy is returned by the date due and in
UNDAMAGED /CLEAN condition.

SKYE RING
RULES
1. The committee reserve the right to refuse entry
2. The Judges decision is final
3. Ponies entered in all classes must be registered with the Highland Pony Society in the Full Stud Book or
Appendices A, B & C. Part Breds must be registered with the HPS in the Part Bred register. (foals are eligible
if awaiting registration)
4. Ponies (except part breds) must not exceed 14.2 (148cm)
5. Over height Highlands may only be entered in the part bred classes
6. Ponies must be shown in their natural state as per HPS showing recommendations
7. Correctly secured British standard hats/skulls must be worn at all times when mounted with the chinstrap
secured. Any competitor whose hat comes off or chinstrap comes undone whilst competing must, on penalty
of elimination, replace it before continuing. He /She may dismount without penalty to recover the hat or
have it passed up from the ground, or may stop to refasten the hat.
8. Behaviour by an exhibitor or his servants deemed to be unsporting or unreasonable, or any animal which, in
the opinion of the judge, is deemed to be out of control will be requested to be removed from the ring or
showground and may cause all rosettes, prize money, and entry fees to be withheld.
9. Objections must be lodged with the Secretary in writing, accompanied by 25 within 30 Minutes of the class
conclusion. Money will be returned if the objection is upheld.
10. All foals must be 3 weeks old or over on the day of the show.
11. A novice pony must not have been placed 1st in an open class up to the day of the show.
12. The committee reserve the right to combine/ split classes at its discretion
13. It will be a condition of entry that the following apply. The Show Committee shall not be liable for any
damages to persons, animals or property or exhibitors may sustain during the show. Each entrant must agree
to indemnify the organisers of the East of England Agricultural Society against any legal action arising from
incidents at the show.
14. All colts and Stallions over 2 years old must be bitted. All stallions over 4 years old must hold a Highland
Pony Society Stallion Licence.
15. All entrants must be at the collecting ring 5 minutes before the class is due to start unless otherwise stated
16. No spurs allowed to be worn whilst being judged
17. No stallions must be shown In Hand or Under Saddle by children under15 years of age.
18. In event of cancellation entry fees will be refunded less 20% administration
19. DOGSfor reasons of safety and to prevent nuisance dogs can only be permitted on the showground on a
lead, PLEASE CLEAR UP AFTER YOUR DOG.
20. STABLINGis subject to availability on a first come first served basis. Contact showground direct to

21. INSURANCE:(a) It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to insure all property and livestock on the
showground or elsewhere which is his own, or for which he is
responsible

This class is designed for real novice riders/or ponies. Combination not to have been placed 1st or
2nd in any WHP class. You may enter HC if you wish to use as a warm up for following classes. No Wilkie
bits.

Open to registered pure bred M&M stallions, mares and geldings five years old or over
The two highest placed ponies in the class will qualify for the Horslyx/ Equifest Mountain &
Moorland Working Hunter Pony Championship at Equifest 2017

Open to juniors under the age of 18years, points for being placed or just competing in classes at the event, forms
available in secretary marquee on the day, please get

This is for licensed stallions only.
This is not a judged class, Please use correct entry form and complete with all details to enable commentator to give
full details to spectators. Highland Pony Society Rosette to all who parade. To be held after completion of In Hand
Championships.
IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
Young stock Champion 1st and 2nd from classes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 to compete.

The Shennachie Shield : Those eligible are the 2 highest placed home bred/produced ponies entered in classes 8, 9,
10, 11. White armbands to be worn in the ring.
Mature Championship 1st and 2nd from Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to compete.

The two highest placed exhibits in classes 1-6 8-11 will qualify for the Drumacre Hall Stud/Equifest Mountain
& Moorland In Hand Championships at Equifest 2017

NPS/Kilmannan Stud In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship
A silver medal rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the Highland In Hand
section. The Sponsors Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Owners must become
Qualifying or Life members of the NPS to enter the final in 2017.
Prize Money will be Awarded Champion 40 Reserve 20

NPS/ The Minns Family M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship
21st May, Fun Show GWC Equestrian Wingfield Nr Diss. Chance to get young ponies into the ring, open
to all breeds, special prizes for lead rein and first ridden ponies. Judges will also assist with your shows
and provide feedback.
On Friday 18th August we are hosting The GwynBeth Championships for the second year running, 500
prize money for Highland Pony Champion and a straight through to supreme of show where we will have
a massive 1000 for the supreme championship, have in excess of 5000 in prize money to be presented
to winners on that day. New Venue for 2017 Kings Equestrian, Bromyard, Herefordshire
22nd October : Social gathering, in conjunction with HPEC East Anglian Group, at WI Hall,
Wickhambrook, Newmarket. We are pleased that Amy Last Equine Dentist will be providing one of her
very informative talks in the afternoon, we also are honoured to have Doddson & Horrell who will be
providing a feed talk in the morning, both sessions will have questions and answers. Booking forms from
