LVIII

Jason

Jason died, after the last battle against Gaea, Leo knew about the sacrifice he had to do in
order to save the world, Camp half-blood, Camp Jupiter, the demigods and all his friends.
He was aware of what was going to happen after he understood the prophecy:
Seven half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire, the world must fall,
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death
To storm or fire, he represented the storm and Leo represented the fire, he wasnt going to
let Leo die, he was his best friend.
He had to make a sacrifice in order to save his loved ones.
During the last battle, while the rest of the demigods were fighting Gaeas army, Jason and
Leo were fighting Gaea, the woman that caused them and their friends so much pain. They
fought with everything they had but it wasnt enough, they knew that they couldnt defeat a
so powerful goddess. Gaea was laughing.
-Everything you did will be in vain, now you will, powerless, watch how I destroy your
entire world because of your failure- Gaea said.
That moment Jason made a choice. Leo, give me the grenade now-
-Wait, Ares said that we only use it in an emergency-
-What do you think this is? - Jason ironically said.
-But Jason we wont have time to run before the explosion- Leo was looking him confused,
but then he realized.
-No, I wont let you do this- Leo said.
-We dont have any other choice, this was meant to happen- Jason said bereaved.
-No! There is no way I am letting you do this-
- I know, you are my best friend and thats why I will do this- Jason punched him in the
face and knocked him up. Then he took Gaea as far as he could from Leo.
-This is useless, it doesnt matter how hard you fight, it will never be enough- Gaea threw
him away just by moving her hand.
-Now watch how I destroy all the things you love- She was just to do her final attack, when
Jason started laughing as he was getting up.
-Whats so funny? - Gaea said.
-Youre right, I cant defeat you, but at least I will take you with me- He made a last
request to his father Jupiter (Zeus in hiss Greek form) and he rushed against Gaea.
Suddenly, when he impacted Gaea, the most powerful thunderbolt ever seen fell down from
the sky, combining its power with the grenade explosion.
Its power was so big that not even Gaea could have survived that.
After the explosion and Gaeas death, all its troops gave up.
But not even the satisfaction to win the war compared to the sadness that they experienced
after Jasons sacrifice. The camps paid tribute to him and declared him one of the biggest
heroes the world has ever seen.
But nothing was the same without Jason, every single person was devastated, but no one
like Piper, she never became the same person again, her boyfriend had died and there
wasnt anything that made her feel better.
The weeks passed and it seemed that everyone was healing, but one day, while they were
on the bonfire a letter appeared from the fire. It was a letter from Jason:
Im sorry for leaving you like this, I wish I could have said goodbye. Youre the strongest
heroes I have ever met, it was an honor to fight by your side,
I know you must be really sad, I mean who cant be, I was awesome, but really you dont
have to be sad for me, Hades was honored because of my sacrifice and he decided to give
me a nice position in the infraworld, Im gonna be fine, please move forward and I promise
we will see again.
This is for you Pipes, Im really sorry for everything, for making you feel like you are
feeling now You are the bravest person Ive ever met, I know you will move on, you
have to, for me. I will always be by your side, I love you

Piper broke in tears after reading it, she was sad she would never see Jason again but at
least she knew he would never forget her and she would never forget him. He will always
be by her side.
After some months, everyone decided to move on with their lives.
Percy and Annabeth decided to stay one more year in the Camp Half-Blood, after they were
going to travel around the world, searching for new adventures.
Hazel, Frank and Reyna returned to Camp Jupiter, promising they would visit them often,
and that the new relationship between both camps will last forever.
After considering it a lot Nico decided to stay in the camp, there were all his friends, and
this way he would never feel alone again.
Leo had a promise to accomplish, using his astrolabe and the new reconstructed Festo, he
went on a mission to find and rescue Calypso from Ogygia, promising he wouldnt come
back without her.
Finally Piper, after thinking a lot about her future, her future without Jason, she decided to
accomplish Jason last mission, to ensure that every single god and goddess, no matter how
unknown they were, are recognized and rendered tribute.
For now on she would be the connection between both camps and she would keep the peace
between them, just as Jason would have wanted.
