Objective

Education professional is seeking a career in higher education. Skill set includes excellent

Work Experience

University of Phoenix (Curriculum Coordinator) FTE (2/2015 to Present)

Primary responsibilities include supporting programmatic development for the college of


education. This includes overseeing contract and payment process of SMEs for new
programs/course revisions; reviewing and requesting textbooks for development and
revision. Maintaining course information through CCRs, CDGs, the MCA, and Curriculum.
Assisting in curriculum development of objectives and assessments through research of
videos/articles to tie into course learning activities and assignments that align to student
learning outcomes.
Organizing focus groups for program/course development. This entails reviewing and
contracting potential SMEs, coordinating travel, catering, and supplies for meetings.
Functions during actual meetings range from note taking course development from SMEs
and IDs, to researching textbooks or articles/videos that align to course/program
objectives, as well as working with SMEs in development process.
Programs used include NewSource, eCampus, Curriculum Builder, Zone, Sharepoint,
Microsoft Office Suite, ARC, and Google Drive.
Update and maintain courses through the MCA, CCRs, CMRs, Zone, and Curriculum.
Run reports on course analytics. These reports include SEOCS/FEOCS, Heat Map,
Quadrant Analysis, EBI reports, and enrollment reports. This information is then used to
decide on course revision, etc.
Customer service skills with external and internal workers. These include SMEs, textbook
publishers, and working with various sectors of the college of education and university.
Overseeing special updates within vertical, such as VitalSource and TK-20.
Complete curriculum changes for course updates/video removals. Find replacement
videos/articles to align to objectives and write/rewrite applicable questions/assignments
for student activities. This revision process may also include revision of TOT and
assignments.
Coordinating textbook edition updates (TEUs.) This includes requesting and reviewing
textbooks for potential use. Selected textbooks are evaluated for alignment to objectives.
Then complete revision process which can include revising TOT and assignments for
course.
Special projects include: Course Insiders, Teaching Channel video removal, Skillsoft
video removal, 50 Lessons video removal, minor overwrites, course/program retirements,
ERR searches, and completing matrices for programs.
Additional responsibilities: Quickbase spreadsheets for program information for all of
COE, JIRA tickets and assisting in Blackboard migration of all courses, piloting the new
program ProCour for COE, overseeing and updated COE Resources page as needed.
Coordinating social events such as birthdays, potlucks, and holiday gatherings.

Mesa Public Schools (Media Specialist) FTE (12/2013 to 2/2015)

Primary responsibilities included instruction of students grades K-6th on various lessons


about using library, library resources, sources and research, literary awards, webcams,
service learning, note taking, brain-storming, genre books, and author studies.
Coordinated all events within media center including author visits, Battle of the Books
competitions, and book fairs.
Ordered, and input all books within library. Maintained books of interest for students as
well as resources for class requirements.
Inventory of all books within library and all textbooks within school.
Maintained budgets and supplies for library.
Administrative duties with public contact are answering phones, contacting vendors, and
corresponding with parents and faculty.
Programs used include Destiny, SIS, Synergy, Oracle, OBARS, Microsoft Office Suite,
and Google Drive.
Provided customer service to students and faculty requesting materials on site and
processing interlibrary loans, fines, and holds.
Supervised and assisted students when in library for study hall or projects.
Developed curriculum content for summer school classes. These included discussing
different genres, author studies, parts of a story, and fiction/nonfiction. Lessons were
formatted for grades K-6th.

Mesa Public Schools (Instructional Assistant) PTE (6/2012 to 12/2013)

Assisted teacher in instructing students and providing necessary tools to assist students
academic progress. Completed basic administrative tasks of copying and filing
information into student folders for report cards.

Maricopa Community College (Fiscal Office Cashier) PTE (10/2013 to 10/2014)

Primary functions include taking student payments for transcripts, fines, or account
balances; answering phones, cash handling, and customer service. Work with student
accounts in programs such as SIS, and PeopleSoft. Other programs used include
Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
Additional tasks include creating spreadsheets and maintaining new voicemail and email
system to access student needs. Update monthly schedules or events into Google
calendar.

Payless Shoe Source (Sales Associate) PTE, FTE (5/2009 to 4/2012)

Supervised store associates and provided customer service. Completed shipment, ran
reports, schedule, took conference calls, handled deposit and cash throughout shift.
Participated in promotional contests to drive sales, conversion, and raise all metrics in
order to beat set goals. Served as Acting Manager for June 2011.
