Position: Deputy Project Manager (DPM), CSISA-MI and CSISA-III Project (An USAID funded
13 Million USD Feed the Future (FtF) Program jointly implemented by iDE and CIMMYT)
Key Responsibilities:
The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) is responsible to implement the project interventions and field
operations of the project with the support of Operations and Programs teams and various support
teams such as Finance, Admin, and iQ. Lead the field team, guide partners (Private, Public, Access
to Finance) and assist to develop project DIP, budget and project implementation strategy, develop
technical papers and tools for smooth field implementation, project progress monitoring and
proposed changes that is required for quality field implementation. Ensure quality improvement of
human resource as projects requirement; facilitate staffs capacity building in market development,
Initiate project startup and smooth closing initiatives. Guide field team for quality project
implementation, play leadership role in project management and review performance of project
staffs. Take part and directly engage in crisis management, leading and managing project including
communication with lead organization and other consortium partners.

nutrition under food security & livelihoods, health & nutrition under MCHN, gender, WASH, improved
access to markets and DRR / Climate change and adaptation, climate resilience agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, direction and oversight to the program operations at the field level

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
NUNRRP PM closely partners with local government administrations (LGAs) and community-based
organisations (CBOs) in initiating a sustainable management of a wide range of activities including:
community mobilization and institutional strengthening (CM&IS), capacity building,
agriculture, infrastructure construction, livestock re-stocking & Nutrition, food security and
livelihoods (FSL), micro-enterprise, education and adult literacy, community infrastructure
fund (CIF) , health/Hygiene promotion/education and water and sanitation (WASH). NUNRRP
performance was the best (as per UNDP-EC evaluation mission) among the 10 consortium
projects in Sudan.
Marketing of appropriate technologies, like soil testing equipment, seed, spices, food, feed, milk
processing equipments, agri-equipments (weeder, seeder, reaper, thresher, winnower, corn Sheller),
Specialized mini cold storage for preservation of fruits, vegetables, fish, Organic Cocoon for food
grain storage, Grain dryer for maize, rice drying, rice transplanter. Conducting feasibility study,
preparation of Bankable PP, business Plan, business counseling, consultancy, training and technical
assistance to the agri-entrepreneurs for establishing agro-based industries. Establishing forward,
backward and lateral linkages, business information, assist in marketing strategy formulation and
farm to market enterprise development support. Assist entrepreneurs/private sector through
providing information, counseling, post-harvest handling process, pack house design and

identification, selection and sourcing of tools and equipments required for post harvest handling of
exportable horticultural produces, consultancy, training for the horticultural produces exporters.
Received award from USAID funded ATDP (Agro-based Industries and Technology
Development) project (A project of MOA) for nation-wide Agri-business Plan competition.
Responsibilities:
Assist in selecting rural market for component B to undertake in-depth market study. Develop TORs
for consultants and market research firms. Develop questionnaires. Conduct FGD with local
professionals, consultants and market research firm to validate data gathered from the market study.
Work with the component management in analyzing the information and constraints gathered from
the market study. Work closely with component management and the team of local professionals to
identify tools of interventions, interventions designs and execute the interventions for Business
Development Services (BDS) for SME development, sub-sector study, design and establish a
system of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for rural markets activities. Explore GO-NGO-Private
