RESUMO
ABSTRACT
Concern about the environment has evolved over the years, being one of the factors
to apply traditional techniques to inadequate soil management. Arise in this context
calls for Innovative Treatment Technologies (ITT's) among which stands out that
phytoremediation is the use of plant species for remediation of soils, sediments and
aquatic systems. This technique can be used to remove heavy metals, major
elements of toxic and bioaccumulative, which can bring health problems in the upper
levels of the food chain to humans. The advantages of living in phytoremediation: the
lower cost than traditional techniques, ease of monitoring plants for microorganisms,
etc. Since its drawbacks arise from the possibility of the plants used to become
weeds, and the influence of climate and soil conditions on plant growth in the area,
among others. Thus we need a larger study on the use of this technique and a joint
