Forms of storytelling:

Cave painting- cave painting is considered the original way of storytelling and
communication, these were used thousands of years ago by what would have
been a primitive human species.
Oral traditions-
Myth- a myth is a story that have been passed down through
generations of people, they are normally used to describe unusual
stories or phenomenons without any proof to back the stories up
Fable- a fable is a story the is used to show people morals, they are
normally quite short and normally uses an animal as the main character
Theatre- theatre was a way of storytelling that was very popular in the ancient
Greek times and is still very popular today, it is a better form of storytelling in
comparison to cave painting because not only is someone using speech to tell a
story but they are also using acting to make it feel real and it allows the
viewers to connect with the characters more emotionally
Text- text is probably one of the most popular ways of storytelling and has
been ever since the first language was conceived, the most popular type of
text that tells a story is text is a book, books are normally very big and have a
lot of writing in them, this is due to how much detail and emotion a book
writer has the put into the book in order to encaptivate the audience.
Film- film is one of the more recently created types of storytelling, they have
become widely popular due to the visuals that the film industry enables you to
create. It is a lot like theatre except that film editing allows a film creator to big
things to life on film that wouldnt normally exist otherwise.
Television television is a lot like film except on a much smaller scale, instead
of being like a film and telling a story in a short amount of time like a film does,
TV allows a story to be told over a long period of time, and this is because the
story is released in episodes. For example the walking dead releases a 40
minute episode once a week, and their a 16 episodes in a season, and at the
time of writing this, the walking dead currently has 6 and a half seasons, and
shows no sign of stopping.

Game genres:
Action:
First person shooter (FPS)- first person shooters are probably one of the
most popular type of gaming that there is, it was revolutionised by the
call of duty franchise and has being very popular ever since, it is
probably seen the most in the action and horror genres.
Third person shooter (FPS)- third person shooters became quite popular
not long after first person shooters, this is where the camera is angled
behind the playable character, a good example of a third person shooter
is the division.

Fighting- the fighting genre is not very popular in comparison the first or
third person shooter, but there are a few franchises that have made it
very popular, for example, mortal Combat or street fighter. These games
are traditionally 3D side scrollers, the playable characters can only move
back and forward and can normally jump as well, and these games are
normally set in one small location and are more focused on a
combination of buttons that allow your playable character to fight.

Adventure-the adventure genre is probably the most popular genre

alongside action, adventure games are mostly popular within the MMO
type games

built on their location.
