What are the functions of the CME

data check function?

Checks data integrity, redundancy, and consistency of a

check corrects some data based on the check results.

to obtain the detailed operation
guidance.
Integrity check: used to check that all mandatory configuration objects for NEs are configured.
For example, IP links, cells, and neighbor relationships.
Redundancy check: used to remove redundant data and reduce NE service loads. Redundant
data refers to the basic data that has not been referenced by upper-layer services, for example,
redundant device IP addresses and transmission links.
Consistency check: used to ensure consistency between associated parameters of different
configuration objects and avoid data collision. For example, you can check whether certain
parameters are consistent between the source cell and an external cell or whether data is
consistent between correlated cells on networks of different radio access technologies (RATs).

Different rules are used to check different data. You can obtain and view NE check rules and rule
descriptions from the following path:
U2000 client installation path \client\client\Data\Common\ConsistencyCheck\language.

The CME provides scheduled and manual check modes, which apply to the following scenarios:
Scheduled check: The CME automatically performs consistency check tasks on a scheduled
basis to check data about some or all NEs in the current data area. In addition, the CME generates
check reports for network O&M personnel to check whether data on the live network is complete,
redundant, or consistent.
Manual check: After configuring data, you can manually check data before data activation to
ensure that the data is correct and complete.

Compares configurations of one NE at different historical time (for example, parameter

configurations before and after an NE upgrade).
Compares configurations of different NEs, cells, or interfaces (for example, select a sample base
station and check configuration consistency between base stations on the entire network and the
sample base station).
Check rules for user-defined parameters are supported. Check whether the values of specified
parameters on the network are consistent with the user-defined reference parameter values.

Only the following parameters support parameter comparison:

You can obtain Filter Parameter List.xls, list of parameters supported by controllers, GBTSs, and
cells on the controllers, from the following path:
U2000 client installation path\client\client\Data\BSC version\Parameter List
You can obtain MOC list.xls, list of parameters supported by base stations and cells under the
base stations from the following path:
U2000 client installation path\client\client\Data\CME_COMPONENT_NE
RAT_VxxxRxxxCxxSPCxxx

The CME provides different parameter comparison functions for different O&M scenarios. For details,
see Parameter Comparison Application Scenarios.

The CME provides scheduled and manual parameter comparison modes, which apply to the
following scenarios:
Scheduled comparison: The CME automatically executes parameter comparison tasks on a
scheduled basis. This mode applies to the scenarios where periodic comparisons are required or
where the comparison is time-consuming, for example, comparison of parameters on the entire
network.
Manual comparison: You can compare specified parameters and reference data in O&M
scenarios such as auditing network data changes, checking parameter comparison application
results, and locating KPI exceptions caused by parameter configurations. This function applies to
scenarios where one-time comparisons need to be performed and where further operations need to
be performed for comparison results.
