Key Accountabilities

Provide technical leadership in the development and optimization of mid-range mine and tailings plans
Develop project scopes and designs to support the mining and tailing operations
Conduct strategic economic studies of engineering and business options available to the company and
make recommendations to management
Support and mentor junior staff and help cross boundary peers with technical development
Lead the integration of tailings and mining plans including design support
Facilitate collaboration with various technical groups to ensure consistency with tailings plans and
other partner groups
Build budget production plans that support operational cost and workforce loading
Provide forecasting, benchmarking and analysis of operational performance
Comply with and act as a role model for corporate and work location safety policies, procedures and
practices

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

Two to 5 years engineering or planning experience in the mining industry

Experience in operations or planning for large scale production environments is preferred
Multidisciplinary background in mining, reclamation, geotechnical/geological engineering and tailings
planning is an asset
Engineering degree in mining, civil or geological
