Services

Tool Designing- We do tool design and provide full system solutions. We apply skilled
engineering with manufacturing standards which comprises the analysis, planning, design,
construction and application of tools, methods and procedures necessary to increase
manufacturing productivity.
Rapid Tooling- Smartus can support in Rapid Tooling which is a process that is the
combination of Rapid Prototyping techniques with conventional tooling practices to produce
a mould in less time or parts of a functional model from CAD data in less time and at a lower
cost relative to traditional machining methods. Rapid Tooling can act as a bridge to
production injection moulded parts.
Legacy Data Conversion- We convert 2D paper drawings to 3D models and provide all the
supporting drawings and additional designing services. We also use restring and vector
conversion of legacy data to convert into editable format. We also provide services to
convert drawings on paper or electronic data from one CAD system to a client specific CAD
system.
Prototype and Production Mould- Smartus has built some state of the art Mould tools with
its partners across the globe. We have been focused on the quality and life cycle of the
mould. Mould design and analysis is done in house on latest software.
New Product Design & Development- We provide designs for auto and mechanical
products. Understanding the complexity of the tool designing, our engineers focus to design
such that the manufacturing process is assured & simplicity of tooling is maintained.
Manufacturing Support & Tooling-Smartus Engineering Manufacturing Solutions is a value
add-control for Machine Safety and Machine Automation. It provides solutions which helps
to improve operational efficiency and optimize the utilization of assets to stay ahead of
competitors.
Robotics Precision Prototyping- Prototyping is the process of using visuals to illustrate what
would take thousands of words worth of design and development specifications that detail
how a device would behave and look.
 Robotic Prototyping is the technique used to quickly fabricate a model of a physical part or
assembly using three-dimensional computer aided design (CAD) data.

Methods of robotic prototyping:

There are two methods in robotic prototyping:
(A) Horizontal Prototyping realizes the appearance but eliminates depth of the behaviour
implementation. If the focus is on the appearance or interface part of robot, horizontal
prototyping is needed and it results in a surface layer that includes the entire user interface
to a full-featured robot but with no underlying functionality; if prototyping is to explore the
details of certain features of the robot.
(B) Vertical Prototyping gives full implementation of certain selected behaviours. Vertical
prototyping is necessary in order to be tested in depth under realistic circumstances with
real user tasks.
Engineering Analysis and Validation- Smartus Engineering has strong expertise in
conducting engineering analysis and validation using a range of tools and methodologies to
enable you to:
a. Test computer-aided simulated models for a range of parameters such as tolerance,
fatigue, crash and impact, strength, heat transfer, etc.
b. Optimize product design to improve performance, increase life time, and reduce weight
and cost.
c. Avoid field failures by identifying and resolving structural and design flaws early on.
d. Adopt alternative materials to improve quality, reduce cost of production, or increase the
lifecycle of products.
