Serve the twenty NAMACO Sector Committees through attending and producing
minutes of every sector committee meeting.

2. DEVELOPMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES


Develop and maintain a database of industrial experts for Occupational Profile
development
Organise and confirm attendance of industrial experts for occupation profile
development workshops
Orient industrial experts on the Develop A Curriculum (DACUM) process
Conduct a 2 day workshop analyzing the job into duties and tasks
Produce the occupational profile
Produce the occupational profiling workshop report
Organise and confirm attendance of industrial experts for a one day verification
workshop of the occupational profile
Produce the confirmed Occupational Profile
3. DEVELOPMENT OF QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Develop and maintain a database for industrial experts Standards Development


Organise and confirm attendance of industrial experts for Qualification Standards
development workshops
Orient industrial experts on the standards development process
Conduct a three day workshop analysing work related activities into unit
standards comprised of economically beneficial work activities
Break down units into cognitive, psychomotor and affective elements
Develop Performance Criteria for the elements in all the three domains of
learning
Develop and validate the bench marks for the processes described in the
Performance Criteria
Develop the Range Statement to prescribe the tools, equipment and materials as
well as the notional hours required for each standard
Produce the qualification standard
Produce the standards development workshop report
Organise and confirm attendance of industrial experts for a one day verification
workshop of the qualification standard
Produce the confirmed Qualification Standard.
