BUILDING COMPANY BASED IN IRINGA AND NJOMBE IS LOOKING FOR QUALIFIED
ENERGETIC PERFORMANCE DRIVEN INDIVIDUAL WITH HIGH INTERGRITY TO FILL THE
FOLLOWING VACANT POSITIONS
1: CIVIL ENGINEERS (2 POSTS)
Qualifications and experience
Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years working experience on civil engineering
construction.
General Responsibilities.
Working in Design and Construction supervision of civil engineering projects, planning,
organizing the road infrastructure projects.
Prepare Engineering design drawings for civil structures, review design designs and
reports received from consultants.
Provide oversight for contracted construction projects and services and regular inspects
work sites to ensure progress and compliance with the company quality standard.
Work with field staff to ensure coordinated work assignments and project planning related
to operations and maintenance of the organizations assets.
Attend site meetings and coordinates consultants and contractors activities and review
reports and payment claims.
Preparation of progress reports.
Preparation of Budgets and Actions Plans.

2: TECHNICIANS (2 POSTS)
Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Form IV/VI with Full Technician Certificate (FTC) Diploma in Civil Engineering with
proficiency in Microsoft applications and at least two years working experience.
General Responsibilities.
Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material
quantities, using calculator or computer.
Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure
conformance to specifications.
Analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to
illustrate findings.
Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions
of structure or system and material requirements.
Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
Confer with supervisor to determine project details, such as plan preparation, acceptance
testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and
ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.
Plan and conduct field surveys to locate new sites and analyze details of project sites.
Develop plans and estimate costs for installation of systems, utilization of facilities, or
construction of structures
Conduct materials test and analysis, using tools and equipment, and applying
engineering knowledge.

3: RECORD MANAGEMENT OFFICER (2 POSTS)
Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Form IV/VI with Diploma in Records Management with proficiency in Microsoft
applications and at least three years working experience.
General Responsibilities
Maintains and Manages the Company records and files.
Control access to files in the registry and administers movement of files.
Perform, transmit and handles files and documents in accordance with laid down
procedures.
Manage correspondence and routes files to respective officers for actions.
Maintain up-to-date file index books.
Maintain flimsy.
Reviews pending correspondence and lists them as required for filling.
Any other Duties which may be assigned by the supervisor.

4: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (1 POST)


Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Degree in Public Administration/ Human Resource Management or equivalent with
proficiency in Microsoft applications plus at least four years working experience in Human
resources management matters.
General Responsibilities
Assist the Managing Director in carrying out all the human resources management and
development functions.
Prepares and maintains daily, monthly, and quarterly staff lists and inventory.
Maintain seniority list and succession plan.
Prepare and maintains leave records.
Handles disciplinary matters and records.
Manage labour disputes.
Ensure appropriate remunerations package to all staff.
Handles social contributions remittance.
Supervise all branch Managers
Any other duties which may be assigned by Managing Director.

5: PROCUREMENT OFFICER (2 POSTS)


Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management with proficiency in Microsoft
applications registered as a Certified Procurement and Supplies Professional (CPSP) with the
Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians board (PSPTB) and at least three
years working experience in the procurement functions.
General Responsibilities
Timely procurement of quality goods and services at reasonable prices and as per required
standards.
Advises Management on rules, regulations and laws pertaining to the procurement of
goods and services including the new procurement Act.
Manages and monitors procurement process.
Establishment of procurement procedures
Prepare supporting documents for payment voucher.
Forecasts and plans for procurement of services and goods required.

Maintain procurement files, and records pertaining to the procurement process.
Any other duties which may be assigned by supervisor.

6. ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER (3 POSTS)


Responsible for managing store activities, controls stock and issue of materials for
smooth operation in the regions and zone level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


To manage and coordinate all stores processes in the regions to ensure availability of
materials, tools and equipment.
To advise Accountant regarding store matters to ensure adherence the Company and
public stores regulations;
To ensure there is proper maintenance and control of stocks of materials for efficient
issuance and delivery of the same;
To ensure stores data (in all forms) are kept and controlled to prevent fraud and misusage.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB


A good Diploma in Materials Management/Procurement or equivalent
Registered member of PSPTB.
At least 1 year of working experience.
Secondary Education Certificate ( Form IV/VI
Basic Computer skills.

7: MINING ENGINEER (1 POST)


Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Degree in Mining Engineering/ Geology with proficiency in Microsoft applications plus
a minimum of at least three years of experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites
Ascertaining extraction risks
Producing models or plans for possible mining sites
Planning and implementing extraction systems
Using computer applications to maximize planning and production
Monitoring and evaluating underground performance
Managing construction projects
Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety regulations.
Making sure that the equipment used is safe.
Managing budgets
Training and supervising staff
Liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff
Analyzing data
Keeping records

8: TRANSPORT OFFICER (1 POST)


Qualifications and Experience.
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Transport Management, Logistics
Management or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution with at least three years
working experience.

Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee and supervise repair and maintenance operations for all company motor
vehicles and plants.
To oversee and plan, evaluate and initiate programs to meet current and future demand
of transport facilities and plants
To plan, monitor and review budgets to ensure value for money in service provision
To direct the activities of staff in relation to transportation operations including
dispatching, routing, and tracking vehicles
To follow up motor vehicle accidents and submit claims to the Insurance compensation
Ensure good behavior and discipline for all the company driver
To administer vehicles logbooks
To Administer and control fuel consumptions for various vehicles and machines.
To supervise all drivers and other staff under him/her.
To perform any other duties related to the position as may be assigned from time
management.

9: CASHIER (2 POSTS)
Holder of Form IV/VI with Diploma in Accounting /Finance with proficiency in Microsoft
applications and at least three years working experience.

Responsibilities and Duties


Handling all the cash transaction of an organization
Receive payment by cash, cheques, credit card etc
Checking daily cash accounts
Maintaining monthly, weekly and daily report

10. PERSONAL SECRETARY (1 POST)


Holder of Form IV/VI with Diploma in Secretarial Course with proficiency in Microsoft
applications and at least three years working experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

Arrange meetings and travel reservations for office personnel.


Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports.
Open, read,route, and distribute incoming mail and other material, and prepare answers
to routine letters.
Coordinate conferences and meetings. .
Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information both internally
and with other organizations.
Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use
computers for word processing, database management, and other applications.

11: DRIVERS (6 POSTS)


Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE); with proficiency in at least
three years working experience.

Responsibilities and Duties


To conduct pre-inspection and ensure cleanliness of the companys vehicle prior to
starting the engine and driving the vehicle;
To drive the companys vehicles in compliance with the laws;
To ensure road worthiness of the assigned vehicle and its timely routine service;

To keep record motor vehicle logbook for motor vehicle's movements/travels, fuel
consumption, changing of tyres and batteries, and mileage/kilometers;
To ensure that required spare parts are fitted into the companys motor vehicles and the
obsolete spares are returned to stores for verification;
To report vehicle mechanical defects discovered and any physical damage to the
Supervisor;
To ensure that the assigned motor vehicle documents and equipment like fire
extinguisher, toolbox and reflective triangles.
To perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
