The Beach

Visiting the beach, for the first time, was the most memorable experience for me. I had gone there
with my friends, but I never expected it to turn out to be such a profound experience. I had hoped for
it to be beautiful and pleasing, but I got a lot more than that. As I walked towards the sea I realized
the vastness of it all. The enormity of its size and the rhythm of its waves took my breath away. I
thought to myself that it feels like a living creature. The sea felt alive to me.

I walked closer to the waters with my bare feet, making imprints on the soft sand, and there were
numerous little crabs hiding in their holes wherever I walked. As I stood there the waves came and
shifted the sand beneath my feet and I had this beautiful sensation as I felt the breeze upon my face
and looked towards the setting sun.

This was not the usual admiration of scenic nature but was almost like a spiritual experience. The
memories of this event have stayed with me and helped me to recollect myself mentally since then,
and rendered a sense of meaning to my soul. The waters seems to have no end and the sounds they
made along with the wind was like music to me. I wasn't simply making the sea an object of beauty
but I felt truly humbled by its majestic vastness. I felt small and insignificant yet fortunate to be
beholding what I beheld.
