Assalamualaikum and good afternoon to adjudicator, time keeper, my teammates in

opposition side, government team and members of the floors.

The government team still said that the house will make physical education as compulsory in
school but we are in opposition team still with our words that the house will not make
physical education as compulsory in school.

Like Prime Minister said, PE should be a compulsory in school because it have a lot of
benefit for students health. I think that reason cannot be accept because like my teammates
said it should be replace with sport club. In every school we have a sport club in curriculum
activity. Every week in all school, student will attend for curriculum class. In that class they
will learn about anything sport. So, they also can improve their healthy through that
curriculum class. Student also can involve in any sport competition in school. They are also
can participate in international sport competition. They were not only to be able to improve
their health, but also can raise the name of the school and make the sport as a career.

Besides, in malaysia we have 1 Murid 1 Sukan policy. 1 Murid 1 Sukan Policy requires
that each student participate in at least one sporting activity in schools. This policy supports
the implementation of the National Education Philosophy which aims to produce a balanced
intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically. On this basis, each student will be
actively involved by participating in school sports activities throughout the year. Policy in
line with the National Sports Policy to develop sports in the community and should be started
at the school through two strategies Sports for All and Sports for Excellence. Sports activities
under the Sport for All is very important in building health, personality and well-being of all
students. For Sports Excellence, a gifted student performance and potential to be further
developed under the Young Talent Excellence Program, School of High Performance Sports
and other sports that could be offered by the school.

Physical Education as compulsory are not necessary and not relevan. This is because of what
I said just right now. Our country has made a lot of effort to assist students in improving
health but also to aid students in finding a suitable career for them. So, is that not enough
effort government team until all of you wants to make Physical Educatian as compulsory in
school?
In conclusion physical education should not be as compulsory in school because we had a
already ways to improve students health.
