Description

A manually activated electric station for Carbon ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SPECIFICATIONS

Dioxide systems, the Chemetron Fire Systems Dis-
charge Station is distinctly different in appearance
from conventional wall-mounted fire alarm stations.
It is operated by lifting the protective switchguard
cover, which breaks a seal and allows the toggle
switch to be pushed into the ON position.
The faceplate is constructed of formed steel with
all information silkscreened in red. The station is
available in Maintained and Momentary Contact
arrangements that accommodate a wide variety of
fire alarm and agent-releasing control equipment. A
back box is available for surface-mounted instal-
lations.
The carbon dioxide manual discharge station shall
be a Chemetron Fire Systems stock number (see
ordering information). It shall be comprised of a
permanently silkscreened steel plate, which shall
indicate the type of agent (CO2) to be discharged and
include operating instructions. The switch shall be
protected by a red Phenol cover to minimize false
operation. A lead-wire seal shall hold the protective
cover in place and shall serve as positive identifica-
tion when the station has been operated.
