Melanie Martinez - Singer/Songwriter

Melanie Adele Martinez is an American singer and songwriter born in Baldwin, New York. Melanie is
only 20 years old (April 28, 1995) and while still in high school, she auditioned for the third season of
NBC's reality competition The Voice as a member of Adam Levine's team. She chose to sing Britney
Spears' "Toxic" as her audition song for the show and she finished as a Top 6 finalist.
Her family had a big impact on her, she grew up listening to her father's Beatles records and hip-hop
music and influenced by her grandmother, she loves to tell stories through her lyrics.

After The Voice, Melanie began working on solo material and in 2014 released her debut EP
"Dollhouse" on May 19, 2014. The EP is about a relationship that doesn't work out and include her
famous songs Dollhouse (the first single) and Carousel (which later turned into American Horror Story
- Freak Show opening song). On her new project, Melanie returned with her debut full album called
Cry Baby. It debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200 with 40,000 units sold in its first week and was
acclaimed by most critics, who praised the album's themes and production, as well as Melanie's vocal.
On November 18, she'll release her new double music video for the songs Soap and Training Wheels
which tells the love story of Cry Baby (Melanie's alter ego) and her boyfriend Johnny.
