AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2, ITEM 1 OF REGULATION
ORDINANCE NO. 2016-274 "AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING ONE (1)
POSITION ACCOUNTANT I, SIG 12, ITEM NO. 21 IN THE CITY
ACCOUNTANT'S OFFICE AND CREATING NEW POSITIONS, TWO (2)
ADMINISTRATIVE AIDE IV, SIG 4; ONE (1) ASSISTANT CITY
ACCOUNTANT, SIG 24; ONE (1) SUPERVISING ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICER, SIG 22, THREE (3) ACCOUNTANT Ill, SIG 19; ONE (1)
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Ill, SIG 9 AND APPROPRIATING
NECESSARY FUNDS THEREOF" BY CHANGING TWO (2) ADMIN

WHEREAS, on September 6, 2016, the members of the Sangguniang

Panlungsod has enacted Regulation Ordinance No. 2016-274 known as "An ordinance
abolishing one (1) position Accountant I, SIG 12, Item No. 21 in the City Accountant's
Office and creating new positions, two (2) Administrative Aide IV, SIG 4; one ( 1)
Assistant City Accountant, SIG 24; one (1) Supervising Administrative Officer, SIG 22;
hree (3) Accountant Ill, SIG 19; one (1) Administrative Assistant Ill, SIG 9 and
appropriating necessary funds thereof;

WHEREAS there is a need to amend some provisions of the said regulation

ordinance specifically Item 1 of Section 2, Two (2) Administrative Aide IV, S/G 4;

WHEREAS, the change of position is based on the updated list of positions

under Category II (Annex B) of the Qualification Standards (QS) on Revised Policies on
the Grant of Eligibility under the Civil Service Commission MC No. 11, s. 1996, as
amended per Resolution No. 1202124 wherein the said position requires no eligibility in
view of its duties and responsibilities;

WHEREAS, Section 76 of R.A. 7160 of the Local Government Code of 1991

states that:

"Sec, 76 - Every LGU shall design and implement its own structure
and staffing pattern taking into consideration its service requirements and
financial capability, subject to the minimum standards and guidelines
prescribed by the Civil Service Commission."

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained, as it is hereby ordained by the Sangguniang

Panlungsod, in session assembled, that:

Section 1. - Regulation Ordinance No. 2016-274, Section 2 Item No. 1 is hereby

amended from Two (2) Administrative Aide IV, SIG 4 to Two (2) Administrative Aide
IV (Bookbinder II);

Section 2. - Except for the above amendment, all other provisions of Regulation
Ordinance No. 2016-274 shall remain in full force;

Section 3. - This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
