1.1) Project Description:

The projects aim to make an online shopping store. It will be used by net
user so that they can order products and makes deals at mouse click. The
store has facilities for buying goods, selling goods (the users may want to
sell products through our websites), auctions, posting comments/ queries
about goods and discussion. The users of the system are net shopper who
uses the customer interface and the businessman (the shopkeeper) who use
the businessman interface to make change to the underlying database system
such as changing the policy engine.

1.2) Scope:
Today Software is the heart and soul of any growing business. From
Business point of view, this application will resulting enhancement in their
business.
1.3) Functionality:
Here we have two types of domain, who will primarily use this application.

Customer domain

Business domain

Firstly consider the case of

Customer Domain:

1. Browsing through items: The customer will be given a web interface

which allows easy browsing through the different rooms. Basically the
item in the shop are well organized and well presented so that a user
can find his required item easily.

2. Item selection: When a customer selects an item authorization takes

place he will be prompted for password or if he is an unregistered user
he may give his credit _card number and other information.

3. Basket Remittance and updation: The customer is allow to update/

change / add to his basket with due authorization after which when he
remits the basket and the items are send to dispatch table.

4. Queries and Discussion: The customer is allowed to post queries

about products available and discuss products sold online.

5. Ability to sell: The customer themselves must be allowed to sell some

item through the website.

Business Domain:

1. Shop modification: He has an interface to add items to his

shop and make modification to like price etc.
 2. Easy configuration: the businessman must be able to
configure his shop.
3. Graphical view tool: The businessman must be able to
graphically view the saleslogfs and the statistical reports in
form of pie charts / bar diagrams etc so that he can make
business decisions.

Hardware and Software Requirements:-

Hardware Requirements:

1. RAM 1 GB

3. Processor Intel Core2 Processor

Software Requirement:

1. Windows XP operating system

2. Apache server 2.2(for windows platform)

3. PHP 5.3.0 language for development
4. MySQL 5.0 for database

HTML:
HTML, which stands for HyperText Markup Language, is the
 predominant markup language for web pages HTML is the basic
building-blocks of webpages.

PHP:
PHP is a general-purpose scripting language originally designed for web
development to produce dynamic web pages.

MYSQL:

MySql is a relational database management system (RDBMS) that runs as

a server providing multi-user access to a number of databases.

Apache server:

Open Source, cross-platform application framework for easily building and

maintaining Flash-based applications across all major browsers, desktops
and devices, including smartphones, tablets and television
