4.SelectaneAMenabledOrganization.

IfthecurrentorganizationcontainsAverageasitsprimarycostingmethod,intheOrganizationParameterswindow,the
CostGroupfieldisrequired.TheCommonCostGroupanduserdefinedcostgroupsareavailable.Thelistofuser
definedcostgroupsincludesthosecostgroupswithvalidaccountsandwithProjectselectedintheCostGroupwindow
(See:ProjectCostGroups, OracleCostManagementUser'sGuide ).YoumustassigntheprojecttoitsownCostGroup
tokeepweightedaveragecostingattheprojectlevel.

IfthecurrentorganizationcontainsStandardasitsprimarycostingmethod,intheOrganizationParameterswindow,the
CostGroupfieldisdisabled.

6.Optionally,selectaMaintenanceWIPAccountingClass.

IfthecurrentorganizationisaStandardcostingorganization,youcanchooseanydiscreteWIPaccountingclass.

IfthecurrentorganizationisanAveragecostingorganization,youcanchooseanyWIPaccountingclassthathasbeen
associatedwiththeselectedcostgroupintheWIPAccountingClassesforCostGroupswindowwithinCost
Management(See:DefiningProjectCostGroups, OracleCostManagementUser'sGuide
).

WhenyoucreatemaintenanceWorkOrdersforaproject,thisWIPaccountingclassisdefaulted.Itcanbeoverwritten,
butwithanotheraccountingclassthatisassignedtothecostgroup.

theWorkOrder'sassociatedprojectortask.YoucancreaterequisitionsandpurchaseordersusingeitherOracle
iProcurement,ifyouhaveitinstalled,orOraclePurchasing.

5.SelectthelineTypeofGoodsfortherequisitionline.Linetypeshelpyoutodefinehowyouwanttocategorizeyour
items.ThedefaultforthisfieldistheLineTypefromthePurchasingOptionswindow(See:DefiningDefaultOptions,
OraclePurchasingUser'sGuide ).Ifyouchangethisfield,defaultsfromtheLineTypeswindowappearintheCategory,
UOM,andPricefields(See:DefiningLineTypes, OraclePurchasingUser'sGuide

7.EntertheitemDescription.Thisdescriptionshouldbedetailedbecausethisishowsomeoneinyourorganizationwill
knowwhatisbeingrequested.

8.EntertheQuantityyouwanttorequestfortheitem.Youcanenterdecimalquantities,butyoumustenteravalue
greaterthanzero.

9.EntertheUOMyouwanttouseforyourrequisitionline.Ifyouchangethisvalue,thequantityisroundedagainif
appropriate,andthepriceisrecalculated.Ifyouenteralinetypethatisamountbased,Purchasingusestheunitof
measurethatyouassigntothatlinetypeintheLineTypeswindow(See:DefiningLineTypes, OraclePurchasingUser's
Guide
).

10.EntertheunitPricefortheitem.Youcanenterthepriceindecimalformat.Youmustenteravaluegreaterthanor
equaltozero.Unitpricesareinfunctionalcurrency.

11.EntertheNeedBydatefortherequesteditem.Thisisrequiredforplanneditems.Youmustenteradategreaterthan
orequaltotherequisitioncreationdate.

12.TheChargeAccountrollsupfromasingledistributionafterthedistributioniscreated.Ifmorethanonedistributionis
createdfortheline,Multipleappears.

13.SelectShopFloorfromtheDestinationTypelistofvaluesforalldirectitemandnonstockitem,eAMrelated
requisitions.YoucanselectadestinationtypeofShopFloorforallpurchasableitemsthatarenotselectedasStockable

WhenyouselectadestinationtypeofShopFloor,eAMrecognizesthisasarequirementtodeliverthedirectitemtothe

18.ChooseOutsideServicestoselecttheworkorderyoupreviouslycreated.

a.Selectthemaintenanceprojectworkorder,youpreviouslycreated,fromtheJoblistofvalues.

b.SelectaspecificOperationSequencefromtheSequencelistofvalues.Thisenablesyoutoprocuredirectlytothe
operationonthemaintenanceworkorder.TheDepartmentwilldefaultfromthedepartmentassociatedwiththe
workorderselected.

c.ChooseDone.

19.Selectarequisitionlinenumber,thenchooseDistributionstoassociateprojectandtaskinformationwiththatrequisition
line.YoucanchargethecostofthisrequisitionlinetomultipleAccountingFlexfieldsorupdatethedefaultvaluesyou
providedintheRequisitionPreferenceswindow(See:EnteringRequisitionPreferences, OraclePurchasingUser'sGuide
