Surface preparation

Before application surface must be dried and cleaned with care, no need sand.
Linco Baxo suggests to apply Baxocoat AS 180 after steel anchors installation.

Material preparation

BAXOCOAT AS 180 coating mix is supplied as dry material. It must be stored in a ventilated and dry
area at a temperature between 10C and 25C.
Dry material has to be mixed with drinking water in a quantity to be applied within short time to avoid
workability time reduction. Setting time can be significantly affected by temperature.

Preparation should be done adding water gradually to the solid part into mixer in order to have
complete homogenization. Mixing proportions of dry part and drinking water must be between 4:1 and
5:1 ratio (10 kg of solid part must be mixed with 2.5/2 kg of water).
Then small water quantity can be added in order to obtain desired workability.

Material installation

Application is made by brushing/spraying to obtain about 1 mm thickness each layer, minimum dry
quantity to be installed to have good shell coverage. Thickness hand applied depends on mixing water
quantity and air temperature. Generally required dry quantity material as per technical data sheet is 1
Kg/m2, material no has shrinkage.

Material need approximately 14h at 20 C to reach a complete hardening/setting. Different

temperatures will change setting time (higher temperature, shorter drying time).

It is possible to apply additional layers when required only after setting of previous applied layer.
Once applied, it is strictly recommended to avoid water contact to lining.
