Mrs. Ram (Rati Agnihotri) is being raped by Rakesh (Mazhar Khan).

This happens in an Island, ruled by Bhavani Pratap (Shashi
Kapoor). That Island has rules, laws made by Raja Bhavani. Bhavani
Junction is full of hotels. Superintendent of Police Ram
(Shatrugan Sinha) finds duty which takes him to Bhavani junction.
Bhavani Pratap & Ram are good friends. When he hears about Ram's
wife he offers help in finding those criminals. Bhavani Raja has
one accountant Deewanchand (Prem Chopra) who guides Raja in each
matter. When Ram finds the criminal is Raja's own son Rakesh, he
ask Raja for help, But Raja's doesn't believe Ram, instead
believes his own son Rakesh and asks Ram to go back. Deewanchand
protects Rakesh from Raja and sends men to watch and stop Ram. But
Ram doesn't back off. He promises to take Rakesh with him. Ram was
helped in this process by dancer Reshma (Zeenat Aman) She also
helps Raja in knowing the truth about Rakesh. But still Raja
Bhavani doesn't allow Ram to take his son with him. Since it was a
question of his honour. Later when Reshma, Raja's love convinces
Raja to follow the truth, he does so and finds himself guity. He
provokes Ram to kill him, and Ram does so. Raja also asks his men
not to stop Ram any more. Ram takes Rakesh to his rightful place
and puts him behind bars.
