PEACE CORPS OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR WORK STUDY STATEMENT OF WORK


Administrative Intern

I. Introduction:

This position is located in the Office of the Director and reports to the Administrative
Officer (AO). Under direction of the AO, this internship will provide skills in the areas of
administrative support. Areas of support include document processing, and records
management. The intern should have experience serving as a liaison, working with
databases, strong customer service skills, document management and organization skills.
The hours are flexible, but each incumbent should be able to work up to 20 hours a week.
Projects are assigned based on the overall workload of the department and may
encompass all aspects of department operations, beyond the expected duties.

Qualifications

II. Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate should have experience creating organizational systems and navigating
Microsoft Office Suite.

Optional technical skills:

SharePoint, Adobe.

Specifically, the Administrative Intern will:

Manage short-term administrative projects

Assist with the development of a Records Management Database

Collaborate with Administrative Officer to design Internal website platform through


SharePoint

Conducts research and uses analytical skills on a variety of projects

Performs document reviews and assists in maintaining an archive of historical and


policy-related documents for Peace Corps leadership

Other duties as assigned

Experience with SharePoint is preferred but not required
