Dear Ones,
God bless you all, as vital parts of our team, working together to obey our Lords Betty (Mrs. J.C.) Choate
command to take His Gospel to the whole world. Thank you for all you do. (Continuing the work begun

Stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself. Do you see every nuance of your body

down or bend over? Would you dare to walk up to our Lord, dressed as you are?

Where are the elders who are supposed to be looking after the spiritual welfare of
the souls entrusted to their care? What has happened to the lessons on modesty that
used to be preached from our pulpits?
Wake up, church! Lets be the shining light God has instructed us to be, not the half-
converted souls following along behind the corruption in the world around us. God tells us where the world is going,
ultimately. Too many of us are blindly following even to that end.
And dont be angry at me for saying this. It needs to be said because we love each other, and Christians need to be
listening. We are called to live pure lives, examples for Christ not betrayers!
Yes, every minute of every day we must remember that the name Christian says to the world that if Christ were here,
He would dress like this or talk like this or behave like this. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver but many Christians
today are betraying His good name for nothing not even the worlds praise; they are just drifting along, following the
corrupt culture around us without even thinking. Wake up, sisters! Wake up, husbands and fathers and elders and preach-
ers!
May Was a Busy Month
The last Sunday in April I worshipped with our sponsoring brethren, the Liberty Church of Christ in Dennis, MS. They
were having a one-day Gospel meeting, with brother Steve Shelton doing the speaking. In the afternoon, brother Wayne
Barrier and I met with the elders to talk about our work. From there, I attended the India Conference in Hamilton on Tuesday,
spending the night with sister Gail Webb who has been a faithful supporter for many years. She worships with the Goldmine
congregation in Brilliant, and they asked me to teach a ladies class Tuesday evening. In the lesson we looked back over the
past decades of our mission work and drew together the many events that could only have happened through Gods providen-
tial involvement. My theme these days is, We walk by FAITH, looking forward, but when we look back on our lives, we
can walk by SIGHT because we can see all the ways God was working. Returning to Gails, we talked Bible until midnight,
relishing every minute of the sharing.
Thursday and Friday we had our annual Missionary Retreat, at a camp site in Florence, AL
this year because construction is being done at the Maywood Camp where we traditionally have
the retreat. Ricky Gootam, son of Joshua Gootam of Kakinada, India, was one of the speakers.
He is promoting the dream of having a TV cable for 24-hour-a-day, 7 days-a-week pro-
gramming for the church, using speakers in the major languages of India. We had dreamed
of such a thing for the world, knowing that if the Pentecostals and other denominational
groups can have their own, the Lords people can too if we put our hearts and funds
together for that goal. GBN is trying, but has not reached that kind of coverage yet. Can we
do it for India? Please pray for Gods will to be done.
New Delhi
Sunny David wrote a happy report on the happenings in New
Delhi: You probably heard, I was in Chennai for officiating wedding
ceremony of Rajanayagams son Abel, on May 12th-13. I got to see
several people, including Arjunan and his wife Glory, Philemon Raja
had brought his whole extended family, and others.
I am sending you a picture of two ladies and a young man
whom I baptized Sunday afternoon. Have been studying with them
for about two months. Sister Maria (you met her in February when Sunny David
you were here) and whom I had baptized in 2014, brought Archana (the first in pic-
ture). The other is Joseph Vargheses sister Jasmine and her nephew Aakash. I have
been studying with 2 more young ladies (one is Aakashs sister Anushka and the other
is Jasmines daughter Sheetal), and they were baptized on Friday, June 23rd afternoon.
So last week there were five who were immersed into Christ.
Nelson is doing alright, has no compli-
cations or problems since the stents were
put in after his heart attack. He is now at-
tending worship every Sunday.
Everyone is doing good here in the
church. I am now teaching Revelation in our
Bible class.
A very, very, Happy-Happy Birthday to Dear Betty. And you should know
and remember that I am still four years younger than you! Ha!!
God bless you, Betty, and keep you in His arms.
Earnest Gill
Brother Earnest Gill from Chandi-
garh, India has written:
Last to last week we had been in
Shimla and last week we were in Jammu
and tomorrow morning we will leave for
Kohala, Ferozepur (Punjab). Shimla is a
tourist place. People from everywhere
come there. I had the chance to talk to a
few people and share some books with
them. Some of the Role of Woman and
One of brother Philemon Rajas meetings. What after Death were kept in the shop
in the Church building there.
After we had returned, on Sunday, 8 souls were baptised into Christ. This time 2 students from Shimla (they are
Nepali Brothers, but were living in Shimla for some time) have come to study. In Jammu, I got the chance to meet some
people and distribute some books. About 100 Role of Women in Hindi were given there. We had a prayer meeting also
and I preached the Great commission. About 30 people were gathered at that home. The weather in Jammu is almost the
same as Chandigarh and the area is peaceful compared to Srinagar. Preaching and converting people in Kashmir is just
like working in Pakistan much Muslim opposition. Last year we visited there, but now it is no good time to go there.
Tomorrow, early morning, we are leaving for Kohala where Brother Salatial has given his piece of land for the church
building. He has been inviting us to lay the foundation stone. This is going to be the first church building by the Church
of Christ people. This is an indigenous effort and needs to be applauded. I had written last month that he needs to be
helped at least with $800 that becomes around Rs 50000. I am not sure, but believe that for his encouragement tomor-
row I should at least help with $150.
B. Arjunan
Brother Arjunan has written from Batlagundu, Tamil Nadu, South India:
On 12th we attended Brother Rajanayagams son Abels marriage in Chennai.
On that occasion we met Brother Sunny David, after a long time. On 13th Saturday
evening I preached in a gospel meeting in Poonamalli, in Chennai. One of our TV
viewers arranged this meeting with the help of her local preacher and the members
of our Lords Church. We stayed over in Chennai to conduct the worship service in
the house of brother Thomas who is our Radio contact. As you know, once monthly
we are going to this place and encouraging him. We met our brothers and discussed
about Gods ministries with them who are working with us together.
On 20th we went to Kumily to preach in brother Philemons program. After that P.K. Varghese, performing the mar-
riage ceremony for his son, Joshua,
we went to Senkarai, an interior hill area to meet a new family we got through TV
and his bride, Shilpa.
and Magazine ministries. We went to break bread the next day with a new congre-
gation and also to locate a place for our September Seminar. On 27th we went to Tuticorin and were engaged the whole day
in teaching and preaching till 10.30 p.m. We had Bible Class, Gospel meeting and Cottage prayer there. On the way home
to Batlagundu we met a new TV contact in Madurai and shared them the doctrine and prayed for them. In addition to these
gospel journeys we visit our local members and have house prayers. Some Sundays we worship with new congregations, to
encourage them. In our absence, Batlagundu Christians gather and worship God and remember the Lords Supper.
Mission Week in Winona
Annually, the church in Winona has a Mission Week in which young people
from nearby congregations spend several days doing service work in the community.
This is much appreciated and is a valuable outreach tool. I was thrilled that our
shipment of Global Harvest and The Voice of Truth International came while they were
here and some of the young folks unloaded the truck, helped with some cleaning,
and then counted tracts for bundles of 25s, sparing us of that time-consuming work.
The Bates are currently in Viet Nam, teaching for two weeks in various pro-
grams. The Rushmores are visiting family and churches in the Northeast. They will
be home in time for our annual team meeting, July 6,7.
The Gospel is our mission. The world is our home.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you (John 14:18).
[Angels are] ...ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation... (Hebrews 1:14).

Dont miss out on these treasures! Mrs. J.C. Choate

Special Events
Space is gone, and there is so much more I wanted to share! In June, Brad and Geor-
gias daughter, Savannah, graduated from high school in Pleasanton, CA. I was thankful to
be able to join them for the event. Their son, Seth, finished middle school, and Arwen was
part of a choir group giving a special performance one night while I was there. Our daugh-
ter, Sheila, who lives in Alaska, also came to be with us, so it was an exciting and happy
time together.
Sheila and I had an-
other memorable experi-
ence in May. She came
to the lower 48 and
we went to Cincin-
nati and spent two
days at the Creation
Museum and a day at
the Ark Encounter, which is about 45
miles from the museum, in Kentucky.
If you have opportunity to go to these
wonderful and awe-inspiring places,
please do! Answers in Genesis is the
organization that has built these Gen-

believe the biblical account of creation
and a young earth.
God bless each one of you. Pray
for us! Hugs and love, Betty
