Greetings everyone!
We look forward to seeing you soon at our workshops, which are part of the School Support
Plan of the PPKBIS (new name).
This plan came about because it was important to get closer to the ground, which means
getting one step closer to students. We would like to contribute directly to student improvement,
and help SISC+s and teachers manage student difficulties more effectively.
Enable SISC+s and teachers to fine-tune their collaboration to bring about improvement in
student performance.
The workshops are also intended for teachers to use student work more effectively to:
unpack the skills and knowledge needed for writing essays
analyse student work in order to identify difficulties
design and implement interventions to help students overcome difficulties

Who attends?
This year, SISC+s will not attend the workshops with teachers, because they have gained exposure to
the data-driven approach of the School Support Plan in 2015. However, SISC+ will continue to guide
teachers whom they have nominated when they return to their respective districts to implement the
interventions.
Teachers
About 220 teachers teaching in Form Five from threshold schools (SPM pass between 50 75% in
2014, 2015) will attend.
