1. INTRODUCTION

The dedusting hopper is designed to reduce the dust emission at the area above the hopper
during grab discharging. Two suction blowers and stacks of air filters are used to extract
dust from the hopper mouth, the filters are de dusted regularly by air blast. The conveyor
used is Chevron type in order to achieve higher conveying angle to reduce the area used by
the conveyor. At a later stage a truck loading apron was designed to reduce dust emission
during truck loading process. This manual provides the information for the safe operation of
the De dusting hopper, mobile De dusting conveyor and Truck loading apron.

Operating instructions, Spare Parts List and Technical Data are contained in this
manual.

Take time to read this book thoroughly .If you are uncertain about any of the information
presented in the manual, contact the company for clarification before operation

Failure to understand comply with safety related informational instructions may result in
injury to equipment, operator or others. If you do not understand any part of this
information contact TANTRI for clarification prior to operating equipment. Please do not
hesitate to contact us if there are any verification or any information regarding Tantri
Products.

! WARNING
NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO OPERATE THE DE DUSTING
WITHOUT WELL TRAINED PERSON!
PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!

3. INSPECTION CHECK LIST BEFORE OPERATION

It is necessary for the user to understand the operation and the checking sequence of the De
dusting hopper & conveyor prior to any setting up. Therefore it is a must to operator to be
trained by Tantri before operating any unit. The operation manual could only provide the
basic details related to the operation. However the operator must read the operating
instructions and safety procedures carefully before each setting up. Always keep a copy the
operating manual with the equipment for proper and safe operation.

Preliminary check list

Visually inspect the equipment to ensure that all instruments and decals are in place
and legible.

Inspect the unit physically for damage and repair if necessary.

Get clear idea about operating switches and control penal. (Ref fig02,03,04,05)

Check the Stabilizing jacks to make sure them working properly.

Visually inspect the electrical wiring and hydraulics lines for any signs of damage.

Check the Fuel Level, oil and water level of the Generator and make sure they fill
enough.

Check the function of steering system before drive the unit to the location.

4. SETTING UP INSTRUCTIONS

Step 01: De dusting Hopper setting up sequence

Follow the instructions given on page no 5 (inspection check list before operation).

Although the wheel unit has been designed to maintain greater stability with equalizer
system, Check the traveling path and ground condition to the location, ground condition need
to be almost even in order to achieve safe and quick setting up.

Check space requirement on the locating site and traveling path, such as overhead
obstructions, electrical wire lines etc. Refer minimum space requirement before conduct the
unit.(Ref fig01)

Start the steering engine and operate the steering wheel to make sure the system is
function well (does axle unit turning).

Hitch the towing Tractor or Loader that capable enough to pull the De dusting Hopper.

As its get to desired location use Stabilizing screw jacks to prevent any further
movements and secure the position of hopper. .(Ref fig01)

Step 02: Conveyor setting up sequence

Follow the instructions given on page no 5 (inspection check list before operation).

As in the Hopper Check the traveling path and ground condition to the location, ground
condition need to be almost even in order to achieve safe and quick setting up.

Use the towing eye to pull the Conveyor, which is connecting with the front axle to steer for
easy maneuverability.

Step 03: Service lines connection

Get clear idea about operating switches and control penal. (Ref fig02,03,04,05)

Connect Hydraulic coupling to Conveyor incline cylinder.

Connect Pneumatic Line to Conveyor canopy Cylinders.

Connect Electrical Line to Conveyor.

9. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Clean the Conveyor Apron and duct system of the dust separator for once in every two
shipments or as transferred 10000 Tons from the hopper system. This could be easily
done by removing service doors provided on top of the Apron.

Check the Hydraulic oil level in the tank at least once in every week.

Remove drain plugs from all air tanks (including compressor, air purge tanks etc.)And
let water to drain completely at least once in every week.

Clean all dust bags by using a soft brush (includes Hopper and conveyor bag house)
once in every two shipments or as transferred 10000 Tons from the hopper system.
This could be easily done by removing service doors provided on both Hopper and bag
house, make sure to seal all service doors after each cleaning.

Grease all pivot pins, axles, steering swing bearing etc. by using a grease gun (there is
usually a grease nipple where they are necessary).this should be done At least once in
every 3 month.

Lubricate conveyor gear reducer once in every 6 month. Use HJ40 engine oil.

Lubricate Drum bearing block, Roller, aligning idler, catch wheels by using ZG3 grease.
This should be done before each shipment or inspecting actual working conditions.
