The Candidate Profile is the record of the candidate's data in the searchable candidate database. It is often
described as the candidate's online resume, although the Candidate Profile usually contains more data than
just the resume attachment. This Knowledge Base Article provides tipis and tricks for the XML configuration of
the Candidate Profile, as well as FAQ for Candidate Profile issues.
Resolution
Step 1: Please configure the Candidate Profile XML template in the following order:
NOTE: Verify with the Implementation guide the list of standard field definitions and make yourself
familiar with the special functionalities for the standard fields;
NOTE: If necessary correct the errors shown in the XML validation in Provisioning; Additionally you can
validate the configured XML against the DTD (please find attached to this Knowledge Base Article or
download from here.
Step 3: Configure reportable custom fields (more information can be found here: 2081508 and here: 2315734)
- Configure all picklists before referencing them in the Candidate Profile XML (the XML validation in
Provisioning won't allow you to upload the template without a valid picklist in the system);
- Note that you cannot define default values for any fields in the Candidate Profile template
- You cannot "hide" any fields from the recruiting users - users who have access to Candidate Profiles will have
a visibility of all fields
- Use the asterisk for "all" only, when it's allowed as per the Implementation Guide. For example in the
"role-name" element within field-permissions you can only define "Candidate" or "Dynamic Group" role;
- When defining the picklist for country, use only ISO standard country names (Please view the following KBA:
