Last holiday, I visited my brother in Bandung. My brother stayed in her his house alone. I always
visited him once a month. His home was in Lembang which was not so far from Bandung city.
When I arrived there, I invited him to visit the famous places in Bandung city. My brother
recommended so many interesting places, that I made a list where I had to visit.

The first place I visited was Curug Dago. It was one of the waterfalls in Bandung. My brother
and I rode motorcycle to go to there. When I arrived there, I was so amazed of the wonderful
view. The waterfall was not so high, it was only 10 meters. but it looked very beautiful. there
were few people know about this waterfall, so the condition around the waterfall seemed
natural.

After visiting Curug Dago, I chose Trans Studio Bandung as the second destination. I was
surprised when I knew the entrance price. It was 250.000 rupiah. I spent a lot of money just for
visiting this place. But, the English proverb "The price doesn't lie" was right. I rode many
interesting and fun game there. There were about twenty games in Trans Studio. I also went to
the mall to buy some souvenirs for my mother.

Then, I went to the third place. The place was Ciater thermal baths. My brother and I took a bath
there. I was so relax when I felt the hot water in the tube. After taking a bath, I tried to find some
meals for dinner. I found a good restaurant around Ciater and tried some delicious food there.
Then, I went to a cottage for sleeping.

On the next day, I remembered my mother's order. She got me to buy clothes from Bandung. So,
my brother told me about a good market to buy good clothes. He recommended Pasar Baru as
my destination. So, I went to this market. There were so many people who sold many variants of
clothes. I tried to bargain with the seller for a good price. Finally, I found the cheap price and
bought so many clothes for my mother.

After buying the clothes, I went to my brother's house. I rested and had a lunch there. Then, I
packed my luggage and said goodbye to my brother. I promised to visit him next month.

Terjemahan

Liburan lalu, saya mengunjungi kakak saya di Bandung. Kakak saya tinggal sendirian di
rumahnya. Saya selalu mengunjunginya sekali dalam sebulan. Rumahnya di Lembang yang
mana tidak jauh dari kota Bandung. Ketika saya tiba, saya mengajak dia untuk pergi ke tempat-
tempat terkenal di Bandung. Kakak saya merekomendasikan banyak tempat, saya membuat list
tempat yang mana saya harus datangi.

Tempat pertama yang saya kunjungi adalah Curug Dago. In adalah salah satu air terjun di
Bandung. Saya dan Kakak saya mengendarai motor kesana. Ketika saya tiba, saya takjub dengan
pemandangan yang indah. Air terjunnya tidk terllalu tinggi, hanya sekitar 10 meter. Tapi, itu
terlihat sangat indah. Hanya ada sedikit orang yang mengetahui air terjun ini, jadi kondisi
disekitar air terjun masih terlihat alami.

Setelah mengunjungi Curug Dago, saya memilih Trans Studio Bandung sebagai tujuan kedua.
Saya terkejut ketika mengetahui harga tiket masuk. Harganya 250.000 rupiahs. Saya
mengeluarkan banyak uang hanya untuk mengunjungi tempat ini. Tapi peribahasa bahasa inggris
"Harga tidak bohong" itu benar. Saya menaiki banyak permainan seru dan menarik. Ada sekitar
dua puluh permainan di Trans Studio. Saya juga pergi ke mal untuk membeli beberapa
cinderamata untuk ibu saya.

Kemudian, Saya pergi ke tempat ketiga. Tempat itu adalah pemandian air panas Ciater. Saya dan
Kakak mandi disana. Saya begitu relaks ketika menyentuh air panas didalam kolam. Setelah
mandi, saya mencari makanan untuk makan malam. Saya menemukan restoran bagus disekitar
Ciater. Dan mencoba beberapa makanan lezat disana. Kemudian, saya pergi ke penginapan untuk
tidur.

Di hari berikutnya, saya ingat pesan ibu saya. Dia menyuruh saya untuk membeli kain dari
Bandung. Jadi, kakak saya bilang ada pasar bagus untuk membeli kain dengan kualitas baik. Dia
merekomendasikan Pasar Baru sebagai tujuan saya. Jadi, saya pergi ke pasar ini. Ada banya
sekali orang yang menjual macam-macam kain. Saya mencoba untuk tawar menawar dengan
penjual untuk harga yang bagus. Akhirnya, saya menemukan harga yang murah dan membeli
banyak kain untuk ibu saya.

Setelah membeli kain, saya pergi ke rumah kakak. Saya beristirahat dan makan siang disana.
Kemudian, saya menyiapkan barang bawaan dan berpisah sama kakak. Saya berjanji untuk
menemui dia bulan depan.

A Day With New Friend

This is her first day come to Fendis home, her classmates. Clarissa came to Fendis home for
doing group tasks. Before, Clarissa was never close with Fendi at school. She think Fendi is very
naughty.

Clarissa was greeted by Fendis mother in front of his house.

Good afternoon, Maam. I am Clarissa, Fendis classmates. I will be here for doing group tasks
from school. said Clarissa.
Welcome here, Clarissa. Fendi, prepare your books and completed your tasks! Clarissa, follow
me! Ill show you a place to learn. say Fendis mother.
Okay, Maam! Clarissa reply.
Fendis mother showed Clarissa place to study groups. Can you guess, where they learn? In the
kitchen, at the dinner table. Its real, no kidding. Fendi also looked surprised.

Ha? In here, Mom? Fendi asked.

Fendis mother reply, Yes! Lets go doing your group tasks!
Clarissa and Fendi sit when Fendis mother went.

Im sorry, Clarissa. I dont know we will learn in here. said Fendi guilty.
Dont worry, Fendi. As long as you are not naughty, I will forgive you. Clarissa reply.
Fendi suprised, Really?! Ok, i will change to be better!
Clarissa smile and they will completed doing group tasks.

An hour passed. Clarissa and Fendi was tired.

Suddenly, came the cockroach at the dinner table. Clarissa screamed in terror. he never had a bad
thing about cockroaches.
Are you scared of cockroaches? asked Fendi.
Clarissa nodded, Fendi! throw away the cockroach!
Fendi holding the cockroach and scare Clarissa. Clarissa screamed.
Fendi! You lie, huh? You promised not naughty again, right? asked Clarissa fears.
Fendi answered, Im sorry.. I, uh .. Actually ill throw away the cockroach.
Fiddlesticks! Lets throw away! I dont want to see cockroach again!
After Fendy throw away the cockroach, they continued doing group tasks.

A few hours later they had completed the task of the school. Clarissa say goodbye to each
other.
Goodbye, Fendi!
Goodbye, Clarissa! I promised. Ill be better. Im glad to have a friend like you
Clarissa smile again.

My Vacation
I spent my vacation on Pasir Putih Situbondo. It's a beautiful beach laying between Situbondo
and Besuki. It has a long beach and a fantastic scenery. It was 31 December 2011. The day was
dark. It seemed to rain. It was 1 p.m. when my family and I left Jember. We rode a car to Pasir
Putih. On the way, it was raining heavily. The street was wet. The car ran slowly because the
driver couldn't see more than 10 meters. It took around 3 hours to arrive at Pasir Putih. The
beach looked so nice. Then, we sat down on the beach. Children played in the water.

Minggu, 29 Juni 2014 Cerita Liburan Puasa Dalam Bahasa Inggris Bulan puasa tahun 2014 ini
bersamaan dengan liburan kenaikan kelas. Saya bermaksud menceritakannya dalam Bahasa
Inggris. It was 28 June 2014. I went back to my hometown from my boarding house. It was very
happy moment after six months studying. It was very nice Saturday afternoon. My family was
happy to welcome me. The beginning of Ramadhan was very exciting. Everybody looked very
happy. They came to mosque to pray taraweh. I ate sahur with my family. That was very
delicious. After sahur I went to mosque to pray Subuh. After that I enjoyed the environment of
my village in the morning.

School Break During Idul Fitri At the end of July 2013, I got school break 2 weeks. The break is
given to celebrate Idul Fitri, a great day for Moslems. As usual, I used the school day off to go to
my hometown, Bondowoso. It was near from Jember. It took only 1 hour by motorcycle. My
family lived in a small village called Jurangsapi. It is around 15 km from the center of town. On
the day of Idul Fitri, my village was very crowded. Everybody came back from different place
where they worked or had a new family. We got together then shook hands to ask for
apologizing. After eating, my mom, dad, and I went to uncle and aunt's house. They lived in
another village but not very far. I spent 3 days visiting house to another house. It made me tired
but I felt it was fun.

Liburan sekolah semester ini aku menghabiskan waktu bersama keluarga dengan berlibur ke rumah
saudara di Madiun, kurang lebih 6 jam perjalanan dari Malang-Madiun dengan menggunakan angkutan
bis selama di perjalanan aku melihat banyak pemandangan seperti sawah, gunung ,dll, tak terasa sudah
sampai di kota Madiun saat sampai di rumah saudara ku aku disambut oleh saudara-saudara ku, sudah
lama aku tak bertemu dengan saudara ku di Madiun karna aku jarang mengunjungi saudara ku di
Madiun, sambil mengobrol tak terasa hari sudah malam dan aku pun sampai tertidur.
Keesokan harinya, aku diajak saudara ku pergi jalan-jalan mengelilingi kota Madiun aku juga diajak ke
alun-alun kota Madiun disana ramai sekali orang-orang yang berjualan seperti mainan, makanan, dll tak
terasa langit mulai gelap akhirnya kami memutuskan untuk pulang saat di perjalanan pulang aku tak
lupa membeli makanan untuk di rumah, setibanya dirumah aku langsung diajak nonton film kesukaan ku
saat film berlangsung tiba-tiba seseorang datang ternyata itu adalah teman saudara ku dia juga ikut
menonton film, tak terasa malam semakin larut aku dan saudara ku memutuskan untuk tidur.
Di hari berikutnya, aku tak tau kalau hari ini adalah tahun baru tiba-tiba saudara ku datang mengagetkan
ku ternyata dia ingin mengajak ku ke alun-alun nanti malam untuk merayakan tahun baru bersama. Di
malam harinya aku pergi bersama saudaraku ke alun-alun ternyata di jalanan kota Madiun ramai sekali
banyak orang yang merayakan tahun baru bersama keluarganya, saat perhitungan mundur tiba langit
yang tadinya gelap sekarang menjadi warna-warni karna dihiasi oleh kembang api . Tak terasa aku sudah
berhari-hari berada di Madiun karna keesokannya aku harus pulang ke Malang sebelum pulang aku tak
lupa membeli oleh-oleh khas Madiun yaitu brem untuk saudara-saudara ku di Malang.
The First Experience of Mountain Climbing

Vacationing is an activity that I like. Two years ago, there was a vacation that I will never forget.
I went up the mountain which is very high with my friends. We set off in the morning using a
jeep. Why we chose to use the jeep? Because of the way we were going was very difficult so if
we decided to use motorcycle or a common kind of car, we would not be able to reach to the
mountain slope on time.

After spending for 15 minutes in that jeep, we reached the mountain slope. My friends and I got
out of the car soon and prepared a variety of equipments that we had to take it. Most of us carried
groceries, blankets, and two of us carrying a tent. I was so excited about starting this journey
because that was the first time I hiked up the mountain. Theres a friend named Riandi, he was a
person who was experienced in mountain climbing. Riandi had often climbed mountain in many
provinces in Indonesia. In that day, we depended on them.

We started climbing at 08:00 am. Together with my friends, I passed the forests and coffee
plantations during mountain climbing. An hour later, Riandi instructed us to stop. We then take a
break at a hut. The atmosphere at the climbing place is very cool, we also encountered a strange
animal, a lizard that was brightly colored and very large. However, Riandi told us to act as usual,
as if nothing happened.

Two of my friends seemed to have fatigue, they were Danio and Chandra. They looked like the
city kids who have never exercised. Because of that, we rested more and ate the food together so
that Danio and Chandra got enough power to continue the trip.

After we rested, then the trip continued. My friends and I were so worried when the rain pouring
down. The climb had to be stopped while and we decided to set up a tent as soon as possible. The
rain was long enough while all of us were in one tent. I felt very uncomfortable because my shirt
was wet because of the rain. Finally, Chandra lent me a shirt so that my body felt comfortable
again.

After an hour of being in the tent, the rain stopped and we continued the climb. Riandi told us
that we had to be careful. The road was so slippery and we should be very careful in walking.
Riandi told me to be a supervisor in the back, while he was a supervisor in the front. That was
the hardest part because we only found a very narrow path, slippery, and next to us was a ravine.
When we fell, then we may not be able to survive.

The thing we feared was really happened. Danio did not walk carefully and he fell. Danio
plunged into the ravine. Riandi, Chandra, and I kept yelling to call Danio. Danio finally
answered our calls and he did not fall too deep because he held on to the root of the tree. Slowly,
Danio kept switching between the roots of a tree to another tree roots and managed to climb back
on track. We were very happy because Danio survived. Then, Riandi immediately asked us to
climb because it was almost night.
At 6:00 pm, we arrived at the first peak and we decided to set up a tent at that venue before
started to hiked the highest peak on tomorrow morning. In the evenings, we lighted the fire, ate,
and chatted. It was an amazing holiday experience. I will never forget all the experiences.

Pengalaman Pertama Mendaki Gunung

Berlibur merupakan salah satu aktivitas yang sangat saya sukai. Dua tahun lalu, ada waktu
berlibur yang tidak akan pernah saya lupakan. Saya pergi mendaki gunung yang sangat tinggi
bersama teman-teman saya. Kami berangkat di pagi hari menggunakan mobil jeep. Kenapa kami
memilih menggunakan jeep? Karena jalan yang akan kami lalui sangat sulit sehingga apabila
kami memutuskan untuk menggunakan sepeda motor atau mobil biasa, kami tidak akan mampu
mencapai ke lereng gunung tepat waktu.

Setelah berada di atas mobil selama 15 menit, kami sampai di lereng gunung. Saya bersama
dengan 4 orang teman segera turun dari mobil dan mempersiapkan berbagai barang yang harus
kami bawa. Kebanyakan dari kami membawa bahan makanan, selimut, dan dua orang dari kami
membawa tenda.

Saya begitu bersemangat memulai perjalanan ini karena ini merupakan yang pertama kalinya
saya mendaki gunung. Ada seorang teman saya yang bernama Riandi, dia merupakan orang yang
sudah berpengalaman dalam mendaki gunung. Riandi sudah sering mendaki gunung yang ada di
banyak propinsi di Indonesia. Hari ini, kami bergantung kepadanya.

Kami mulai mendaki pukul 08.00 pagi. Bersama dengan teman-teman, saya menyusuri hutan dan
perkebunan kopi selama mendaki gunung. Satu jam kemudian, Riandi menginstruksikan kami
untuk berhenti. Kami lalu beristirahat sejenak di sebuah gubuk milik penduduk yang ada di
sebuah perkebunan kopi. Suasana di tempat pendakian sangat sejuk, kami juga menjumpai
sebuah hewan yang aneh, yaitu seekor kadal yang berwarna cerah dan sangat besar. Namun,
Riandi mengatakan kepada kami untuk bersikap biasa saja, seolah tidak terjadi apa-apa.

Dua orang temanku sepertinya mengalami kelelahan, mereka adalah Danio dan Chandra.
Sepertinya mereka memang anak kota yang tidak pernah berolahraga. Dengan terpaksa, kami
beristirahat lebih laam untuk mengkonsumsi bekal sehingga Danio dan Chandra mendapatkan
tenaga yang cukup untuk melanjutkan perjalanan.

Setelah kami beristirahat, maka perjalanan dilanjutkan. Saya dan teman-teman begitu khawatir
ketika hujan turun dengan lebat. Pendakian terpaksa dihentikan sementara dan kami memutuskan
untuk mendirikan tenda secepatnya. Hujan berlangsung cukup lama dan kami berempat berada di
dalam satu tenda. Aku merasa sangat tidak nyaman karena bajuku basah terkena hujan.
Akhirnya, Chandra meminjamkanku sebuah kaos sehingga tubuhku merasa nyaman kembali.
Setelah satu jam berada di dalam tenda, hujan reda dan kami melanjutkan pendakian. Riandi
mengatakan kepada kami bahwa kami semua harus berhati-hati. Jalan begitu licin dan kami
sebaiknya sangat teliti dalam berjalan. Riandi menyuruhku untuk menjadi pengawas dengan
berjalan di urutan terakhir, sementara ia menjadi pengawas di bagian depan. Ini adalah bagian
yang paling sulit karena kami hanya menemukan sebuah jalur yang sangat sempit, licin, dan di
sebelah kami adalah jurang. Ketika kami terjatuh, maka kami mungkin tidak dapat selamat.

Hal yang kami takutkan benar-benar terjadi. Danio tidak berjalan dengan hati-hati dan ia
terjatuh. Danio terperosok ke dalam jurang. Saya, Riandi, dan Chandra terus berteriak untuk
memanggil Danio. Danio akhirnya menjawab panggilan kami dan ternyata dia tidak terjatuh
terlalu dalam karena ia berpegangan pada akar pohon. Secara perlahan, Danio terus berpindah
antara satu akar pohon ke akar pohon yang lain dan berhasil kembali ke jalur pendakian. Kami
sangat bahagia karena Danio selamat. Kemudian, Riandi segera mengajak kami untuk mendaki
karena hari sudah hampir malam.

Pada pukul 6:00 sore, kami tiba di puncak pertama dan kami memutuskan untuk mendirikan
tenda di tempat tersebut sebelum melanjutkan perjalanan esok pagi. Di malam hari, kami
bercanda, menyalakan api unggun, dan mengobrol. Ini adalah sebuah pengalaman liburan yang
sangat menakjubkan. Saya tidak akan pernah melupakan banyak kejadian yang ada di dalamnya.
