SPEAKING PERSONAL CONVERSATION

EXAMINER:

I would like you to look at the two photographs, they show people's rooms.
For this part I want you to compare the photographs and say whose rooms
they might be.

STUDENT 1: (1 minute to answer)

Booth images (1) rooms (2) people use, but for

different functions. The room on the left is tidy, clean and well organised.
(3) in the room on the right, everything is all over the place,
and the floor can (4) be seen. The room on the left
(5) possibly belong to a professional person (6) it
is obviuos that money has (7) spent to give it this appearence
whereas the room on the right, more (8) likely, belongs to a
student, probabily male, because the furniture is very low-cost, and no care
has been (9) to organise it. The image on the left looks
(10) a waiting room, or somewhere where (11)
could sit and read, because there is only a chair in it, but in contrast the
image on the right is a bedroom because it has a bed in it. If I had the
(12) , I would (13) to use the room on the left
(14) than the room on the right, because I hate untidiness and
disorder. .

EXAMINER:

Which of the rooms is most similar to yours, and in what ways?

STUDENT 2: (20 seconds to answer)

The image on the left is (15) to my room because I

(16) untidiness. My room is very organised because I need to
be to find what I am looking (17) quickly, or I get
very irritated.
