Application
Exchange Undergraduate and graduate students of all fields can apply for the Kanazawa
University Short Exchange Programme (KUSEP).
Requirements Applicants should meet the requirements for JASSO Student Exchange
Support Program (Scholarship for Short-term Study in Japan).
Undergraduate applicants must have completed their second year.
Previous Japanese Language instruction covering 100 hours is advised.

Courses and Credits
Courses Exchange students are admitted to a one- year program (KUSEP) that provides
Japanese language classes (, as well as lectures in English on the state of
affairs in Japan, Japanese culture, and other various fields of specialty.
Please note that subject related courses may not be offered in English. Check
the course offer and syllabus for exchange students carefully and compile a
preliminary study plan before you apply.
Credits Students must take the compulsory Japanese courses (20 credits) and at least
5 elective courses (10 credits) for a total of 30 credits per year.

Kanazawa University advises students to prepare for an estimated monthly


living cost (incl. rent) of JPY 80,000 100,000.
According to the Japan Student Services Organization, the estimated monthly
