Provide clean, level and firm hard standing over the working and storage

A.7 Erection
i. The 2 Nos Tower cranes are used for erecting the structural steel Columns, Beams & Bracings are free issue by
client.
ii. Our assumption on erecting the structural steel works is based on, uninterrupted use of Tower crane. Detailed
erection methodology will be presented at a later stage.
iii. The Buyer shall provide sufficient area at site for setting up of site office(s) & material storage yard free of
cost.
iv. The Civil Contractor to install Insert plates provided by JSSL generally in accordance with the Construction
Drawings and agreed tolerances if required.
v. All steelwork erection is to be carried out based on one continuous visit to site.
vi. Uninterrupted Electricity and water supply for carrying out the works is to be provided to JSSL by the client
free of cost.
vii. The Client shall provide and maintain access and exit routes into and around the site for the safe delivery of
plant and materials for normal road vehicles.
viii. The Civil Contractor shall maintain the whole of the JSSL working area free of obstructions, open trenches or
other excavations and clear of other trades labor, plant and materials.
ix. The Civil contractor shall provide adequate safety notices and demarcation notices to identify restricted
working areas due to the presence of overhead power lines etc.
A.8 Programme
i. Upon award of contract, a lead-in period of 18-20 weeks shall be required for the first batch of steelwork to be
ready for delivery to site, based on receipt of final approved Construction Drawings from Buyer.
ii. For Erection works we propose that the complete steel structure in around 26-28 weeks on site based on
current preliminary design. Our programme is based on single ten-hour working shift a day, six days a week.
iii. All revisions to this information shall be received prior to the commencement of fabrication of the area
affected. Any alteration to steelwork etc. due to the receipt of late information is not included in our proposal.
iv. All information provided shall be clear and correct before fabrication commences.
v. No allowance has been made in cost or programme for retrofitting of steelwork out of sequence due to
receipt of late or incomplete information.
vi. The Programme / Schedule of Works shall be in MS Project only.
v. Our Offer is based on the tender drawings; any additional steel work other than the steel shown in tender
drawing shall be treated as variation.
vi. JSSL use SMAW Process for Fit-up, GMAW Process for full welding and SMAW Process for Plate fabricated
Sections.
A.10 Exclusions
The following items are not required for this project as per JSSL & have not been considered in technical offer & Price.
1. RCC cores walls & slabs, foundations, retaining wall, water proofing and all RCC work, Site Surveying & Site
Development works, All RCC & PCC and other civil works, MEP/IT/Architectural works and their local supports.
2. Architectural welding/ Architectural finishes/ Architectural painting
3. Inclined portion above the roof level.
4. On-site fabrication. The entire fabrication shall be done in JSSLs production facility in Bellary, Karnataka and
the steelwork shall be delivered to site in erectable sequence.
5. Independent Weld Testing & Inspection. All additional testing if required, to be carried out by testing
Laboratory approved and agreed by JSSL.
6. Third Party Inspection / Certification in general.
7. All costs related to inspection at JSSL works by main Contractor / Client appointed personnel.
8. Post Weld Heat Treatment in Furnace & Local Testing.
9. Site welding generally.
10. Temporary or permanent Fencing.
11. Holes in members required for installing equipment or steel furnished by other manufacturers/other vendors
12. Any Stainless Steel or Non-Ferrous Metalwork
13. Machining of Structural Steel Items & Fabricated Component.
14. Any type of Trial Assembly.
15. Labour Cess to the local government and any policies.
