Dick Sibbernsen

Dick is a retired executive vice-president of ATT Corporation. Following


the acquisition of Bellsouth Corporation by the New ATT, Dick assumed
responsibility for the human resources function in the worlds largest
telecom operator employing 300,000 employees in over 120 countries
with revenues of $160 billion.

From 1997 through 2006, he was Chief Human Resources Officer for
Bellsouth Corporation during that companys transformation from a
regulated voice wireline business to a major provider of wireless and
broadband services.

Dick worked also as Group General Manager for TNT Limited, reporting
to the CEO, from 1993 through 1997. He was the business leader
responsible for HR strategy and programs for the Sydney, Australia
based world-wide logistics business. For 15 years he held various
operational and corporate HR roles in the natural resources, energy, and
manufacturing companies of Tenneco Corporation.

He has published several management articles in various journals,


including the Harvard Business Review. He co-authored a book
Reprogramming the Board in 2006. He currently is an adjunct faculty
member at Loyola University Chicago, University of Sydney, University
of Texas San Antonio, XLRI Graduate School of Management
(Jamshedpur) India, and Saint Augustine University of Tanzania. He is
also a member of the Ignatian Volunteer Corp in Chicago.
Dick earned a BA degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from Marquette University
and a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law. He is a member of
the Illinois State Bar and holds dual American/Australian citizenship.
