0.0 Head of Panels Speech

0.1 Head of The English Language Panel cum the chairperson, Puan Hasmiah Fee

began the meeting by welcoming the members to the meeting. She also wants

all teachers to make mutual exchange with other teachers or prepare material

for students to do during their absence.

1.0 Arising Matters

1.1 All teachers have to prepare TOV and ETR for their respective classes except

for Year 1.

1.2 Puan Hasmiah explains in details about the strategic planning process. It

consists of the critical analysis of the status, functioning and results of the

education system, with a view to identifying strengths and weaknesses.

1.3 The qualities of the inputs are important for the teachers, learners and

educational system.

1.4 A good information system is an essential condition, not only for the preparation

of a good strategic plan, but also for an effi cient monitoring of the plans

implementation.

2.0 Analysis Result of Final Year Examination 2016.

2.1 Kindly refer the attachment at the last page.

2.2 Teachers are reminded to construct questions in their lesson which are in line

with HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill Questions) and according to the latest

format.

3.0 Linus / KSSR / PBS

3.1 All the files and data must always be updated.

 3.2 Implementation of the programme will fail if the practitioners do not

understand the standards and objectives of the programme.

3.3 . The successful implementation of the programme dependents upon the

knowledge or skill on how to utilize resources. The resources such as human,

financial, technology, skills and time are important in the implementation of

the programme.

4.0 School Based Assessment (SBA)

4.1 The school-based assessment system is a holistic assessment system

conducted in school by subject teachers to assess the students cognitive (intellect),

affective (emotional and spiritual) and psychomotor (physical) aspects in line with

Malaysias National Philosophy of Education and the Standards-based School

Curriculum

4.2 All teachers should have the latest format and carry out the assessment for

three times.

5.0 Other Matters

5.1 The HOP looks forward to the cooperation and commitment of all ELTs in

carrying out all the activities planned for the year 2016.
