Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you

really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him. 8 Philip said,
[b]

Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us. 9 Jesus answered: Dont you know me, Philip, even after I

have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us
the Father? John 14:6 9
REFLECTION

Out of all the commandments God has given us, the most difficult one might be Do not let your
heart be troubled. As we go through life, we cannot help ourselves from worrying about what might be
considering the political and economic landscape of our country, as well as having our own battles within
us that lead us to doubt the Lord, like Thomas did. As we humans are, by nature, sinful creatures no
human being is worthy of being in a relationship with our perfect creator based solely on their own labors
and moral worth. Jesus paid the price for our sins so that we may be able to have a relationship with God.
Simply put, it means that theres only one way to get to the Father and that one way is to have faith in and
follow Jesus, to the best of our abilities in spite of our flaws and imperfections.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

We are eternally grateful for Your constant presence and guidance despite our sinfulness. We
humbly ask that You help us hold on to our faith even in the darkest hours, through the trials and the
storms we may face in this lifetime. Lord, let our faith be full and unreserved, and let it penetrate our
thought, our way of judging Divine things and human things. May we always have the faith to believe in
You, the light, the truth and the way. We ask these things in Jesus name, our light and our salvation, who
lives and reigns with the Father and the Spirit in the bright glory of the holy Trinity, forever and ever.
Amen.
