Dear Mr. Favorito,

On Monday, December 19, 2016, the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities held a University Hearing Board in
reference to an incident that occurred on or around March 6, 2014. The University Hearing Board found you in violation
of Article 11, Section a (Sexual Misconduct - (1) Sexual Violence) of the Code of Student Conduct. I have
thoroughly reviewed the Boards finding of fact and carefully considered all of the information pertaining to this incident.
Therefore, in concurrence with Dr. Peter Konwerski, Vice Provost and Dean of Student Affairs, you are assigned the
following sanctions:

Effective immediately, you are suspended from The George Washington University. This suspension is deferred
provided you adhere to the following criteria, and provided you are not found in violation of a subsequent university
policy for the remainder of your enrollment at The George Washington University:

1.) Ineligibility to Seek Housing Effective immediately, you will be unable to seek residence in any University
residence hall or any University-owned or controlled rental properties indefinitely. Failure to comply with this
limitation may subject you to further disciplinary action.

2.) Persona Non Grata Effective immediately, you are persona non grata to all University residence halls and
University-owned or controlled rental residential properties indefinitely. You may not visit in nor be seen around
any such buildings indefinitely. If you violate this directive you will be trespassing and may be arrested.
Additional disciplinary action may also be taken by the University.

3.) Disciplinary Probation - You are on Disciplinary Probation until December 19, 2018. Based upon various
standards and guidelines as established by campus organizations, departments, administrators, and/or faculty,
conditions of your probation may include exclusion from co-curricular activities. Violations of the terms of
Disciplinary Probation or any other violations of this "Code" during the period of probation may result in
suspension or expulsion from the University.

4.) Behavior Assessment - You must obtain counseling regarding your behavior in this matter from a licensed
psychologist, to include an assessment that specifically addresses the sexual nature of this incident as well as your
potential to engage in sexually aggressive and threatening behaviors in the future. As a result of your assessment,
you must complete any recommended treatment and/or education. You must submit a copy of the assessment,
treatment/education plan, and a letter from your psychologist confirming your completion of the required
assessment, evaluation, and/or recommended treatment or education to be delivered to the Office of Student
Rights & Responsibilities, 812 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20052, no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday,
April 21, 2017.

5.) Required Meeting You must meet with Mr. Rory Muhammed, Title IX Coordinator, on at least a monthly basis
through December 2017, as result of this incident. These meetings must take place no later than the 1st of each
month, starting no later than April 2017 until December 1, 2017. Please contact the Office of Diversity, Equity &
Community Engagement at (202) 994-7434 in order to schedule these meetings. These meetings will continue
until Mr. Muhammed believes they are no longer necessary. Your first meeting must be completed by no later
than 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2017.

If you do not complete your sanctions by the listed completion dates, your student records will be encumbered. You will
be unable to register for classes, and other University services may be restricted. Failure to adhere to and/or complete your
sanctions will also result in additional disciplinary action taken by the University.

In accordance with Article 40 of the "Code of Student Conduct," a record of this matter will be retained in the Office of
Student Rights & Responsibilities until you graduate from the university. However, as indicated in Article 41 of the "Code
of Student Conduct," you may petition to have this record administratively expunged upon a showing of good cause no
sooner than one year after the finding of fact for the case. Petitions will be accepted and considered by the Director of the
Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities or designee, and are evaluated based upon the criteria outlined within the
"Code" and provided you commit no additional violations and complete your sanctions on time.

As detailed in the Code of Student Conduct, parties have a right to appeal the outcome of a disciplinary hearing or
conference. Should you wish to appeal this decision, your appeal must be submitted in writing to the Office of Student
Rights & Responsibilities by 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017. Appeals must be based on new information that is
relevant to the case, that was not presented at the Hearing, and that significantly alters the finding of fact. The Executive
Director of Planning & Outreach or designee will have final decision whether or not appeals are forwarded to the
Committee on the Judicial System. See Articles 33-36 of the Code of Student Conduct for more information regarding
appeals.
