(Amos 5:24). Justice is one of the most important themes in the Bible] Justice flows
from the very heart and character of the God who reveals himself in its pages. What is
biblical justice? How can the Church bear witness to the just God in a world tainted by
such gross injustice? How can Christians work towards the common good in the wake
of suspicion, alienation and discrimination? This conference seeks to address these and
many other issues.

A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE
Dr Philip Satterthwaite has been
Principal of the Biblical Graduate
School of Theology (SGST) since 2011.
He has been Lecturer in Old Testament
and Biblical Hebrew at BGST since
May 1998. Before coming to Singapore,
he was Research Fellow in Hebrew &
Aramaic at Tyndale House, Cambridge.
JUSTICE AND THE ECOLOGICAL CRISIS
Dr Kwa Kiern klok teaches intercultural

studies at East Asia School of
Theology and sits on several bioethics
committees. She spent six years
with Graduates' Christian Fellowship,
equipping graduates for ministry in the
marketplace.
Dr Fong Choon Sam is Dean of
Academic Stupthes at Baptist Theological
Seminary (BIS) Singapore. He oastored
for 12 years before joining the faculty of
BTS and has been a full-time lecturer at
IBIS for 12 years. He teaches missions,
research, and world religions.
