INTRODUCTION

In the early childhood years, children are eager to understand more about the world. Young

children actively strive to build knowledge and to develop language to communicate about what

they learn. They develop theories about how the world works; they learn to solve problems; and

they ask questions in a constant quest for information. To encourage the learning process

towards the pre kindergarten, teachers must diversity the activity of learning process where they

should apply student centre in classroom.

In learning language, teachers need create something more interesting to attract student

attention to involve in learning process. Future more, in learning language students have to be

able to master all the four skills in learning language. Those four skills that have to be required

by the language learners are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. But, sometimes student

can be passive when they not interested in learning process especially learning foreign language

such as English subject.

Beside that, we should be innovative teachers likes create an activity such as games to

attract student to master in learning language. When teachers apply by using games method to

instructional language method it could be help student to more participate because they can learn

through playing. In pre kindergarten, children should be taught foundational knowledge through

developmentally appropriate instructional techniques such as read aloud, discussion, songs,

games, projects and other active learning opportunities.


RESEARCH OBJECTIVE

This activity had their objective towards student such as:

a. To stimulate verbal interaction each student. From these activities, student needs to speak
or practice the certain words towards their partner.
b. To strengthen their efficiency in language include improve their listen skill, speech skill,
reading skill and writing skill.
c. To let student dominate language skill based on their ability of certain language.
d. To expend and enrich student knowledge and experience towards language skill.
e. To be able to encourage students to speak up and be active in English class likes
discussion or chatting during this activities ongoing.
f. Students activation is a student activity during the cooperative teaching process which is
noted down on the cooperative elements, include: positive reliance, direct (face to face)
interaction, and across-personal interaction.

LEARNING OUTCOME

This approach of study would be able improve student ability in English language especially in
listen, speech, reading and writing skill. This teaching technique is expected to be able to attract
students to be more active in English class. In Fun Puzzle Activity , students are given visual
stimuli to help them transfer their idea more easily and build up their interest Additionally, the
result of this study is expected to be able to promote a positive learning habit, such as an active
classroom, direct (face to face) interaction, also courage and confidence student in using English
for daily life.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Our target audiences for these activities are pre- kindergarten student. The total students

engaged were (how much student will be involve) .. This activity will be conducted at English

class.

RESEARCH PROCEDURES

1. Fun puzzle with antonyms

Fun puzzle with antonyms are provided in picture or word in pair. This game also we can
use in teaching language skill and calculation subject like mathematics. Each puzzle has
two pictures that show similar things but different quantity of things or antonyms word.
For the example, one of the puzzle have word noisy then the pair of the puzzle have
words quite so the student need to matching each puzzle with its opposite puzzle to
matching fun puzzle with antonyms.

2. Fun puzzle with theme

This puzzle with theme was provided in word and picture puzzle which student need to
find the words for each picture or otherwise. Student will be divided into a several group
or playing single for this activity depends to the number of student in charge. The
teachers should adapt the theme of this game based on student ability and their mastery
stage of learning English. For the example, if teachers want to teach about the human
body so they can use picture and find the word that describe the picture for student
indentified.

3. Match and spell puzzle


Match and spell puzzle is the language games that more focus toward match the picture
and spell it right. It is still enduring the picture puzzle but each puzzle has picture and
word to be complete by student. For example, book picture also have word book at the
puzzle too.
