What should Grace do in order to convince Landon to change the project

management software and what initiative should be taken in order to get work on a

high profile project?


SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS

1. Landon stopping Grace to express her idea which would change the

companys growth.

Landon was not ready to take up the risk to put forth Graces idea of

changing the project management software to be explained to Bill so that the

company could grow to the next level.

2. Grace taking initiative to explain about the idea of the new project

management software to her peers.

Grace took up this initiative of meeting her peers and explaining about

the new software to her colleagues and peers which influenced them to

support her idea in improving the companys future growth or making changes

to the software.

3. The employees complaining about the existing software which was very

difficult to manage and wanted the company to take up an initiative

make the situation better.

The employees were unhappy about the companys existing software which

was very difficult to manage and were waiting for an initiative to be taken by

the company to improve this situation.

4. Grace approaching Bill without Landons knowledge in order to explain

her idea for the companys future.


Grace was waiting for an opportunity to pitch in her idea to Bill, the VP

without Landons knowledge so that she would find an opportunity to explain

her idea on how the new software would change the company. She got that

opportunity during the office grand party.

5. Creating a hostile situation where Landon stops Grace from

approaching his higher manager without Landons knowledge.

When Grace was pitching her ideas of the changes to be made to the existing

software to Bill and Landon found out about this and Grace sending emails to

Bill the same night of the party, Landon met Grace personally in his room and

explained how things are to be filtered with the managers before reaching Bill.

This does not seem right on Landons part as he was not ready to help Grace

grow or the company to grow further.
